My Busy Kit Review

I just love products that keep my kids busy when we are on the go or stuck in a waiting room somewhere.  There is nothing worse than having a completely bored kid especially when I have a nine year old (this weekend) and a four year old.  That drives me crazy when I have them to contend to while having a 6 month old.  I was sent a My Busy Kit for our use and review and it turned out to be really great!  Both my older kids like to play with it but the most use it gets is from our son when we are in the waiting room when our daughter goes to see her councilor.  She is back there with her for about an hour and trying to keep a four year old busy is tough.  That’s when My Busy Kit comes in handy.  I don’t know why I never thought to put something like this together myself.
My Busy Kit was started by two moms that had 5 kids between them.  While one of them was traveling with her kids, they had a bag filled with things to keep them busy and that’s where the idea came from. And so the My Busy Kit moms teamed up and tested different items to see which worked best.  They launched My Busy Kit at a pre-school fair in 2007.  I’m telling you, it was a great idea!
Inside the kit is all kinds of stuff.  There is a pack of Crayola Washable markers, a small box of crayons, a spiral notebook with a plain white cover so it can be decorated, an activity page, an activity book, stickers with a fishbowl and fish, wikki stix that remind me of Bendaroos, a little plastic tic tac toe game, a lacing fish, 2 wooden cutouts that can be colored, a tape measure that is shaped as an elephant, and these little plastic things that look like people that can be stacked on top of each other.  There is also a pair of safety scissors as well.
My son really likes the tape measure.  That never got to stay in the kit as he instantly took full claim over it.  We take the kit with us anywhere we go that we know we will be waiting a while.  There is enough items in there to keep both my kids happy and there are a lot of things where they can do creative things as well.  After some of the things have gotten used up like the notebook, I added a few other things to it myself.  This kit is even good at home too when your kids just won’t get out of your hair.  I just hand over the My Busy Kit and it’s always like it’s something new.
I think My Busy Kit is great and a wonderful idea!  It’s packed with all kinds of different things to really keep your kids busy!  These are great for traveling in the car, sitting in waiting rooms, or even waiting in an airport!  It is so strange to me how the most simple toys amaze my kids but I think the My Busy Kit moms had it all figured out pretty well.
The product was sent to me for free by the company for my use and review. I was not paid to write my review and my opinions are 100% my own.
Buy It:  You can buy this My Busy Kit for $19.95 by visiting their site.  You can also buy a bigger kit for boys or girls for $26.95.  You can also use coupon code dustinnikki to take 20% off your purchase at Google Checkout from now through the month of May.  I think the price is great for as much fun stuff that comes inside!  Don’t forget to look for My Busy Kit on Twitter and on Facebook
