products are designed and formulated by Julie Hilton whom is also a pharmacist (who happens to have 30 years plus in compounding skin care) and owner of Skin Free
. I have spots on my skin with very, very dry skin. These places include my elbows and ankle areas. It’s so dry especially my elbows that they literally hurt if I run them. It gets worse in the spring and summer months which happens to be now. I was pretty excited to have the opportunity to work with Skin Free
on a review. Skin Free products are recommended for:
•Extreme Dry Skin
•Skin or Fragrance Allergies
•After Radiation or Chemotherapy
These products are even great for people that just have dry and sensitive skin. These products are made with natural ingredients including natural oils and are fragrance free. There aren’t any harmful chemicals, steroids, colorants, perfumes, petroleum products – they simply have all natural vegan ingredients. They do not test on animals either. I think this makes them that much better for the skin. I love natural products and Skin Free products are great for my very dry patches on my skin.
I was sent the Basic Four Gift Set from Skin Free for my use and review. Included in the set is an 8 oz bottle of Super Moisture Body Balm, 8 oz bottle of After Shower Moisture Spritz, a bar of Extra Moisturizing Soap, and a Niaouli Butter Stick.
With the Body Balm, you only need a few drops. It’s oily so you don’t need much of it. The Body Balm contains 100% of rich butters and natural oils giving your skin 20 times the moisturizing power of other lotions. The first few times that I used the Body Balm, I used it on my arms and legs and it left my skin feeling really soft and smooth. At first I wasn’t sure if it was going to absorb very well in my skin because at first it was pretty oily but it does absorb pretty quickly and dries fast.
I use the Butter Stick on my elbows and ankles. Only after about a week of applying the Butter Stick, I noticed a huge difference. It doesn’t even hurt my elbows to wear a long sleeved shirt anymore. Long sleeved shirts would rub my elbows and it was pretty bothersome but I don’t have to worry about that anymore. The Moisure Spritz is great after I take a shower. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed. You use this when you first get out of the shower before you towel off. After you use it, you towel off as usual. The soap lathers fairly well and adds extra moisture into my skin.
For the most part, my skin is fine and I don’t have a problem with it at all. I just have those certain spots that are so bad that it hurts. With these Skin Free
products, I have been able to find a lot of relief after using them. These products are fragrance free but they do have a natural light scent to them. To me everything has a scent whether it says fragrance free or not but that’s just me. I am sensitive to smell. It’s not a bad scent. It’s actually kind of nice. The scent is basically the same in all the products which smells like some kind of butter which makes sense since there are butter in them. I do prefer to use them at night though because I still like to use my scented products.
These products are safe for babies as well. Both our boys have a very dry patch on both their legs. It’s weird too because they are in the exact same spot on the same leg. They are pretty rough patches and I used a little of the Body Balm on them and it helps. The area isn’t as rough as it used to be. Overall I think Skin Free
has great products. These products are great for delicate, sensitive or very dry skin, helpful for allergies, ecxema, psoriasis or dermatitis. I’m just glad that my elbows don’t hurt anymore!
The product was sent to me for free by the company for my use and review. I was not paid to write my review and my opinions are 100% my own.
You can buy this set for $35 which is worth it in my opnion. There are other products that you can also buy by visiting Skin Free
. You can also buy these products found in their Basic Four Set individually. Their products can also be found at select Walgreens stores.
