Guide Craft Flower Match Garden Patch Review and Giveaway {CLOSED}

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Guide Craft.  They have been making children’s furniture for 45 years.  Their products have also been used in classrooms for years and years.  They build great products that are safe, reliable and last for years.  Guide Craft not only has furniture but they also have great toys that are mind stimulating and educational.  The third product that we recieved from Guide Craft to review was their Flower Match Garden Patch which is one of their toys and both my older kids just adore it!

The packaging was great.  It didn’t come in a traditional box like most toys come in.  It had a cardboard sleeve that slid over the wooden box that stores all the pieces included in the Flower Match Garden Patch.  There wasn’t anything that needed to be assembled.  The laminated pattern boards were wrapped so that they didn’t slide all over the place during shipping.  Since there wasn’t anything to assemble, all we had to do was slide off the wooden lid covering the storage box and play!
There is a self propping peg board that sits inside the wooden storage box that works as the game board or play area.  There are four wooden pegs on this board in the colors of yellow, blue, green, and red.  Below these pegs are little velcro pieces.  Inside the box are tons of different colored flowers and different colored pieces that make up the middle part of the flower.  There are 6 board with a different flower pattern on each one.  These are double sided so there are actually 12 different patterns.  These boards are durable and they are laminated to protect them so that they don’t get beat up.
My kids really enjoy playing with it and despite their age difference (our daughter is 9 and our son is 4), it’s something they can play with together.  It’s also something that they can play with alone too which is great because it doesn’t require more than 1 person to play if the other doesn’t want to play.  I think it’s great for learning patterns and it’s mind stimulating.  It’s also great for learning to figure out how to fit them together because they are different sizes and shaped differently.  Not only do you have to find the right color pattern but also have to find the right one that fits!  It keeps them busy without any frustration!
Another thing that I like is that not only do they have to find the right flower pattern, but they also have to find the right stem/leaf piece and they velcro to the board underneath the flower bud to make the complete flower.  My daughter loves to time herself when she plays and my son loves to figure out how to fit the pieces.  This can also be used for memory.  My daughter likes to try to memorize the pattern and do it by memory.  Our son tries doing the same thing but does it one flower at a time at this point.
The age recommendations are for ages 3 years and older because there are some smaller pieces.  I think this toy is really great because since it’s for ages 3 years and older and my daughter still enjoys it at 9 years old, it has a great playlife.  I love toys like that!  Also, even though all the flower pieces are loose in the box, there hasn’t been a problem with any of the pieces becoming chipped or anything.
This is another great product from Guide Craft and we love the Flower Match Garden Patch!  It’s a lot of fun, durable, safe and educational!
The product was sent to me for free by the company for my use and review. I was not paid to write my review and my opinions are 100% my own.
