consists of actually 5 moms and they have 15 kids between them. With their experiences, they have come up with some great products which include the Cleanwater Infant Tub
. I have three kids and we have used infant tubs with all of them. I never really gave much thought to the water they were sitting in and rinsing them off in the dirty water. They are sitting in diapers all day and even though they get cleaned up at diaper changes, how clean are they really? I think all my kids ended up urinating in the bath water too. This is the water that we use to rinse them off in! This is where the Cleanwater Infant Tub
comes in handy!
The Cleanwater Infant Tub
keeps a constant flowing of clean water entering the tub while the dirty water run out. The biggest portion of the tub is where baby is placed and at the other end is a reservoir that sits under the faucet. See the curved part around the end of the tub above the reservoir? That is where the water runs from the faucet and then the water flows into the reservoir filling it up with clean water. There is a small hole at the end where baby is sitting in his/her dirty water and that water runs out as clean water from the reservoir flows in. I was worried that the flow of water would go out too fast and not keep the right amount of water in the tub. I was proved wrong! The flow of the water moving out and in is perfect!
The Cleanwater Infant Tub
can be used from birth to 6 months or until baby is sitting. The maximum weight limit is 25 pounds. We only got to use it with Little E a couple times but I sit for my new nephew who is about 3 months old now. I have him at nights for a few hours a couple times a week. He’s a little colicky, mostly in the evenings – lucky me, and bathing him calms him. I have gotten plenty use from this amazing tub! My sister-in-law thinks it’s great too!
The tub is contoured so that baby fits comfortably and we haven’t really had a problem with either one of them sliding in it. The Cleanwater Infant Tub
fits great in a bathtub or over a single basin sink or a double basin sink. I wasn’t sure how well it would sit over our kitchen sink because we have an older style double basin but we didn’t have a problem. We couldn’t even use our other infant tub over our sink but we can with this one! It also sits securely in place.
Another great thing about the Cleanwater Infant Tub
is that you don’t have to worry about the water getting cold. We all know how quickly the water can chill down in an infant tub but with the clean water constantly coming in and the dirty water going out, the water is always warm. The tub also has a great digital thermometer on it which is very easy to read. I think this is great and a must have with the water constantly coming in as the temp could change. The thermometer actually changes color from blue, to green, to red telling you if the temp is right or not which I happen to think is brilliant because it makes it easier to see the temp at a glance!
We absolutely think the Cleanwater Infant Tub
is great. No more dirty water, no more cold water, and the thermometer is awesome! It also comes with a rinse cup that even locks into place and has two drain heights to accommodate newborns and infants. It does require 3 AA batteries. It’s also a Winner of The National Parenting Center’s Seal of Approval, the iParenting Media Award, and the Mom’s Best Award. Make sure you watch the Cleanwater Infant Tub Video
on their website to see it in action!
