Hubby and I went on a date and we finally saw Eclipse!

I have been dying to see Eclipse before it even came out.  I have read the Twilight Saga and read everything else I can about it.  I guess you can call me a Twilight Junkie!  Hubby and I don’t get out much without the kids but we finally got a date night (it was actually in the afternoon if that counts) but we take what we can get.  We headed off to the movies and finally got see my movie!

It was really good and I loved every minute of it.  I thought the movie stayed with the book really well.  My husband liked it just as much as New Moon and Twilight and thought it was pretty good but he’s not as big a fan as I am.  You see, I am secretly in love with Edward.  Not Robert Pattinson (although I think he plays Edward really well) but the character of Edward himself.  It’s okay though because Hubby is my Edward.  I’m telling you what though, the wolves were huge!
We had a lot of fun just enjoying our day out and after watching Eclipse, of course we had to stop at Applebee’s for buffalo wings!  I guess if I only had one complaint about the day is that they really need to make theater seats a little more comfortable.

Anyway, if you haven’t seen Eclipse yet, you should!  It’s really good and I can’t wait for Breaking Dawn to release (which is going to be two movies)!  Check it out, I figured out how to add video to my blog posts so you can watch this Eclipse movie trailer!

Overall, we had a great day.  Hubby and I went out by ourselves and had dinner alone.  I don’t know what’s better, dinner and a movie or the fact that I didn’t have to fix dinner when I got home!  I know we got to see the movie I have been dying to see and even though I thought it was amazing, I was more happy that we finally got to go out alone.  We haven’t done anything that resembles a date since Transformers Revenge of the Fallen was in the theaters, or maybe it was the last Harry Potter movie?  Either way, those were the last two movies we actually went out to see.  Mommy and Daddy need a break every now and then!

I think it’s great that you got to have a date without the kids, and not have to make dinner when you got home. Sounds like a great time! I liked Eclipse, but I don’t think it was as good as the very first Twilight movie, but it was still good!

A date night at dinner and the movies… lucky you! Sounds like fun. The closest we get is to order in after the kids go to bed!

OMG I need a date. Haven't been on one in like 2 years. Do lunch dates count?

That's great you and your hubby had a date night. I know how hard it find time for date night. My husband and I don't have family near us so if we go out we have to get a babysitter. And that is something I hate doing. I'm glad you enjoyed the movie. I am not a Twilight fan, though. I have not seen any of the movies or read any of the books. Unbelievable, right!
