{Back to School} Carolina Pad Dreamsicle Collection Review and Giveaway {CLOSED}

Carolina Pad offers a wide variety of office and school supplies with 6 different brands.  All of their designs are fun, stylish, and really cute.  A lot of their products are a part of a collection which is really great to get all of your supplies to match!  Every year, Carolina Pad gives back with Commerce With a Conscience.  This allows Carolina Pad to team up with non-profit organizations to raise funds and awareness to worthy causes.  Last year they teamed up with Jackie McFee and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to launch their Kendall Kollection.
This year, Carolina Pad teamed up with Jackie McFee, JACK!E and Girls on the Run International to launch their Dreamsicle Collection“The GOTR after-school curriculum-based program inspires more than 50,000 girls a year to celebrate their bodies, honor their voices, and embrace their gifts in more than 150 cities across North America.”
It’s time to celebrate being a girl
“You’re not smart enough”, “You’re not thin enough”, “You’re not pretty enough” are a few common things that girls hear about themselves in middle school.  It seems to start earlier and earlier as time goes by.  Did you know that 40% of 9 year old girls have dieted and that by the age of thirteen 53% of american girls are unhappy with their bodies?  Did you know that 62% of all girls feel insecure or not sure of themselves and that domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women between the ages of 15-44?  Those are pretty scary numbers.  You can read more about Girls on the Run International by visiting girlsontherun.org.
I think this organization is amazing for what it does and was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Carolina Pad on their newest Commerce With a Consience Collection.  Our daughter is only 9 years old and she asked us just the other day if her bottom looked fat in her bathing suit.  I don’t even know where it came from and it’s bothersome to me why my 9 year old little girl would ask such a question.
I was sent some great products from Carolina Pad’s Studio C Dreamsicle Collection which included a 1 subject notebook MSRP $2.99, an ideal book (3-subject professional notebook) MSRP $3.99, a ribbon-tie journal MSRP $5.99, a 2 pocket folder MSRP $.99, a composition book MSRP $2.59, a personal book MSRP $2.50, and a binder with tab dividers MSRP $5.99 and $2.49.
The pocket folder can be used in a binder with the holes along the side.  It’s not a flimsy folder either which is aomething I look for in folders because I don’t like folders that can be torn easily.  The 1 subject notebook is a spiral notebook with 80 college ruled sheets that are also perferated making the sheets easy to tear out.  The smaller 3 subject notebook has three sections with 2 tab dividers inside and has 120 college ruled pages that are also perferated.
Of course I love all the products but I really like the tab dividers in the 3 subject notebook.  Both of these notebooks have a really thick and sturdy cardboard cover.  These are definitely great to throw into a bookbag or a locker without any real fear that they would get torn.  Both notebooks also have a sheet of letter stickers for labeling and the 3 subject notebook also has pockets inside on the divider pages!
The binder is also durable with strong binder rings.  That’s always a good thing because binders that come open easy spilling paper everywhere just isn’t really good.  There’s no problem here!  The binder dividers are really cute.  Each one has it’s own design and they are all adorable just like the other products.  With the dividers comes a double sided pocket which is great for storing other things that you may need a folder for!
The composition book has some helpful notes on the inside over that includes parts of speech, punctuation, and figures of speech.  These are great helpful notes to have handy when you are writing.  The inside back cover displays conversion tables and the multiplication table.  The small personal notebook has 80 sheets of paper in a spiral that are also perferated.  There is even a little pocket on the inside of the cover!  The ribbon tie journal is absolutely adorable too.  I gave this to my daughter so she can write in it every day.  Diaries and journals are helpful to her and she adores it.  It also comes with a sheet of letter stickers as well and the lines on the paper is pink.  What makes it so special is that there are inspirational sayings every now and then on the top of the pages such as:
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
~Eleanor Roosevelt~
I think things like that can put a smile on any girl or woman’s face.  I love the paper in the notebooks too.  This may sound weird but I am picky about the feel of paper and how ink pens or pencils write on paper.  I’m happy to report that I love the paper!  My daughter and I love these products.  They are great quality products that are definitely cute and stylish.  I think any girl or woman would love these products for school or for the office and of course buying products from the Dreamsicle Collection helps a great cause, Girls on the Run International!
The product was sent to me for free by the company for my use and review. I was not paid to write my review and my opinions are 100% my own.
