{Back to School} Go-Gurt Keeping Cool In School Review and Giveaway {CLOSED}

I look forward to Back to School just as much as I look forward to summer break.  Back to School also means I have to pack our daughter’s lunch (next year I will have two in school) and I am always trying to find healthier options for lunches and yogurt is a good choice.  The only problem is that yogurt needs to stay cold but with Go-Gurt, you can freeze them and you don’t have to worry about them going bad before lunch time!
I am a member of MyBlogSpark and was given the opportunity to work with them on a great Spark, Go-Gurt Keeping Cool in School and we were sent a gift pack including a free coupon for Go-Gurt to try out in our daughter’s lunches.  Included in our gift pack was a lunch sack, two long squiggly pencils, and more!
Our kids love the pencils and the calculator.  I think the calculator is pretty neat myself.  It’s not made of hard plastic but instead is made of like a floppy rubbery material and they think it’s pretty cool.  The flower shown in the above picture is actually a marker.  It took me a few minutes to figure out what it was but you can remove the petals and there is a marker under each petal cap!  The water bottle or drink bottle has a lid that can be put in the freezer before using it to keep a drink cold and the sandwhich container fits really well inside the lunch sack.  Included with the pack is a fan pen too!
I think my kids have had Go-Gurt only a couple times and I have never thought about freezing them before.  When we picked ours up at the store, I put them in the freezer when we got home.  Of course when our daughter went to school, she pack one in her lunch.  By the time lunch time came, her Go-Gurt was thawed but still really cold so she got to eat her yogurt in Go-Gurt form and it was great!  Go-Gurt is made to be frozen and thaw by lunch time without ruining the yogurt.  Since it is frozen when you put it in a lunchbox, it also helps keep everything else cool so there isn’t a need to add an icepack!
“With Go-Gurt yogurt in your child’s lunch box, you can feel confident that there will be no snack trading at lunch time since Go-Gurt has a taste and texture that kids love! Moms can feel good about packing Go-Gurt each morning since each portable tube contains a good source of calcium and vitamin D, providing a wholesome addition to a well-balanced lunch. Available in a variety of cool, fun flavors like Strawberry Splash and Chill-Out Cherry, Go-Gurt will quickly become a refreshing classroom favorite.”
The texture of Go-Gurt really is great – I have a thing about textures and I don’t know why.  I thought the flavor was great, fun to eat, and very creamy.  One thing that I personally don’t like about any kind of yogurt is fruit pieces or chunks and Go-Gurt doesn’t have any chunks in it which is also great for my kids because they don’t like chunks either.  Yoplait Go-Gurt is definitely a great treat to add to your child’s lunch for school in my opinion.  They are also great for at home too and our 4 year old loves them just as much.  He has even eaten one completely frozen like one of those tube popsicles.  I thought they were pretty good that way too!
