I don’t believe I have ever seen any kind of kids dinnerware such as Constructive Eating
before. I was thrilled to receive the opportunity to work with Constructive Eating on a review because when I first came across their product, I was instantly intrigued. Constructive Eating
consists of a great, fun plate that resembles a construction site and the utensils are construction vehicles! The design of the plate and utensils make eating fun and I have found that they are a great tool for little ones that have still not completely mastered picking their food up with a fork or spoon from their plate.
The plate is sectioned and in one area, there is a place where the fork (forklift) can be used to push food and then lift the food that is on the fork without little ones getting frustrated because they can’t pick up their food. There is also an area where your child can place the spoon (front loader) to sit and using the pusher (bulldozer), your child can push their food up the ramp and onto the spoon so that all they have to do is pick up the spoon and put it in their mouth!
Some may think that this would just cause their kids to play with their food instead of eating but I don’t agree. We haven’t experienced this problem at all. It’s actually been really, really helpful. Our youngest, just turned a year old yesterday and he is in the process of learning how to use utensils. He is still pretty young but he can use a spoon with a little help – that is after food is put on the spoon by either mommy or daddy. We all know how frustrating it can be for both child and parent when learning to eat. They get frustrated and throw their food, etc. but Constructive Eating
makes eating fun and enjoyable! In my opinion, I think eating should be fun because that makes for better experiences. Good experiences makes learning so much easier!
Our 4 year old has also used our Constructive Eating
plate and utensils. At 4 years old, he is a good eater but there are some things that he may have a little trouble getting off his plate depending on what he is eating. He hasn’t figured out the whole concept of how to eat spaghetti so we have to cut it up for him. When he gets close to finishing, it becomes harder for him. The design of the plate and utensils makes it easy and fun for him to eat without having any problems. The sections of the plates also has a little depth to them which also makes it easier rather than having a standard flat dinner plate.
The utensils are designed with a toddler in mind making them easy for them to hold and grasp with gripper handles. The bottom of the plate has non-slip grippers that keeps the plate from sliding. They are dishwasher and microwave safe too. They are also safe to use: “All the materials that we use are approved by the FDA. We do not use any paints in our products. All of our products are PVC free, phthalate free and free of Bisphenol A (BPA).”
We think Constructive Eating
is absolutely great and constructive! These products are also very durable. If you are looking for a great plate and utensils set for your toddlers, I definitely would recommend Constructive Eating products! Even though this set consists of construction vehicles, they would be fun for either a boy or a girl. If you would like something that looks a little more girlie, you can order the construction vehicle utensils in pink!
The product was sent to me for free by the company for my use and review. I was not paid to write my review and my opinions are 100% my own.
