{Holiday Gift Guide} Magic Cabin Raggedy Ann and Andy 95th Dolls Review and $50 GC Giveaway {CLOSED}

Magic Cabin has a lot of really great toys for all ages.  They have educational toys, imaginative play toys, dolls, arts and crafts, play kitchen – a lot of different things!  When they call Magic Cabin “Childhood’s Purest Treasures”, I believe they are right.  There are a lot of toys that Magic Cabin has to offer that would easily become any child’s treasure.  I remember when I was a little girl, Raggedy Ann and Andy was my treasure.  Raggedy Ann went with me wherever I went.  She was actually passed down to me from 2 generations and boy do I wish I still had her!
I was given the opportunity to work with Magic Cabin on a review and was thrilled when I received my Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy 95th Anniversary Dolls!  When I opened them up after I received them it brought back so many memories.  I found myself missing my Raggedy Ann doll that I had when I was little.  I think it’s pretty magical when there is that certain toy that still brightens your day even as an adult!

Their clothing looks a little newer but they are the same doll nonetheless and they are still nostalgic.  I have seen toys from my childhood come back into the market after years and years and there is always something that is never exactly quite right.  I am very please that Raggedy Ann and Andy haven’t really changed.  The Raggedy Ann and Andy 95th Anniversary Dolls come in their own boxes that can also be used as collector’s boxes.  Both dolls come with a certificate of authenticity and are just as soft and cuddly as I remember.  Like I said, they really haven’t changed much.

On the back of the box you can read the story about how Raggedy Ann and Andy were born.  In 1915, Johnny Gruelle found a rag doll that he gave to his daughter that was made by her great grandmother for her grandmother.  Johnny Gruelle also wrote stories about the doll that was named Raggedy Ann and after seeing what the doll did for his daughter and how much she was attached to it, he sent a drawing for a patent so that children everywhere can experience the same friendship his daughter and Raggedy Ann had.  In 1920 – five years later Raggedy Ann’s brother Andy was born.

There are a lot of great dolls out there but I think there will always be a place for Raggedy Ann and Andy.  Both dolls are 12 inches in length and made really well.  I wouldn’t expect them not to be since the one I had as a little girl was so old.  I have no doubts that these dolls won’t last a very long time!  There are tons of dolls these days that come with all sorts of bells and whistles but I think Raggedy Ann and Andy are loved so much because of their simplicity.  They are made like rag dolls with their yarn made hair and the same great face.  It’s too easy to love them and cherish them forever!
If you are looking for a toy that will last and be cherished by your own kids, check out Magic Cabin.  You may just find the perfect toy that your child will treasure!
