Pillsbury Artisan Pizza Crust w/ whole grain #Review and Pillsbury Prize Pack Rafflecopter #Giveaway #MyBlogSpark {CLOSED}

Recently my family received the opportunity to try Pillsbury Artisan Pizza Crust with Whole Grain and we love it!  We usually have a pizza/family game or movie night once a week and we make homemade pizza.  Our kids enjoy adding toppings to theirs and it always makes for a great family evening.  We have used Pillsbury Pizza Crust a lot of times but I was thrilled that Pillsbury now has a new artisan crust with whole grains.  I have been trying to get more whole grains in my family’s diet and what a great way to do it – with our pizza!  I was sent a package that arrived at my door that included an 11×17 baking sheet, an adorable Pillsbury oven mitt, Pillsbury pizza cutter, coupon for a FREE Pillsbury Artisan Pizza Crust, and a $10 Visa Gift Card that we used to buy our favorite pizza toppings!

The Pillsbury Artisan Pizza Crust comes in one of those “pop” cans  like biscuits or dinner rolls come in.  I love pizza crust this way because it’s so easy to use because all you have to do is roll it out.  You may have to press it a little to cover your whole baking sheet.  Using a rectangular baking sheet would probably be best but we sometimes use our round pizza baking sheet.  I love my new baking sheet though – it’s non-stick and the perfect size.  It also allows food to be baked wonderfully too.  It’s really easy to mold this crust into shape if you want to use a round sheet.  It’s really great because the dough isn’t sticky and it stays put really well if you have to stretch it a bit.  The night we used our new pizza crust, we made taco pizza.  It was really good and I couldn’t get over how good the crust was!

To make our taco pizza, we used melting cheese instead of pizza sauce, browned hamburger mixed with taco seasoning, then added shredded cheese on top.  After it was finished baking, I added sour cream and tomatoes on top.  The crust was really, really soft.  It wasn’t too thick and it wasn’t too thin either.  I can honestly say that it baked perfectly.  Even the outer crust was soft!  I was worried that my kids wouldn’t like the flavor.  I’m not really thrilled with the flavor of whole grain bread myself and I was worried that the crust would taste the same.  To my surprise, the flavor of the crust was really good!  I didn’t notice a very big “whole grainy” flavor at all and my kids didn’t even notice!  It has 16 grams of whole grain per serving and I can’t get over how great it tastes!

And of course I love my new oven mitt and pizza cutter!  I definitely recommend Pillsbury Artisan Pizza Crust with Whole Grains.  It’s so soft and tastes wonderfully and a great way to get some whole grains into your family’s diet!
