Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream Review & Cupcake Nails

I was given an opportunity to try Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream and I absolutely love it. Neutrogena Norwegian Formula has been used by fisherman and outdoorsman for many years but has been becoming a must for nail care. And for good reason. It does wonders for my hands and nails! It’s a 2oz product and even though it may seem small, it’s actually pretty big. It’s glycerin – rich and it’s also concentrated. This is why I say that even a small volume product like this one is big because it literally only takes a dab. That’s right. Just a dab! It’s good for 200 uses!

It’s really thick and creamy, absorbs really well and leaves my skin feeling really soft and smooth. I seriously noticed a difference the very first time I ever used it. I couldn’t believe it. These kind of products are supposed to at least take a few days before you get results right? I mean, that’s what I always thought because I don’t think I have ever used a product that showed results right from the very first time ever being used unlike Neutrogena Norwegian Formula.

I have a big problem with my digits. My natural nails never grow. They always break every time I try to grow them out. My hands are always dry from dishes, cold weather and what-not and often times the skin on my hands actually hurt. I always use moisturizer including the kind with healing powers and I have found some that work pretty well to help my poor hands. Nothing like this product though. I have never found anything that has helped this well.

It may not help keep your nails from breaking but it does help them look better. My skin on my hands always look dry. As soon as I apply Norwegian Formula, my skin looks and feels instantly better. It softens them immediately making my dry skin not hurt. Another problem I have is around my nails. The skin around them tears really easily. Like a hang nail. I don’t think there is ever a day when I am not using clippers to cut them off. It’s a constant problem for me. Dry hands in and out of pockets, purse, folding laundry, etc. and that’s what I end up with.

Since my natural nails never grow out, I often do my own nails with fake ones. The kind I get usually last a week to ten days before they start coming off. Of course once they do, I give my nails and fingers a break before I do them again. When I apply my artificial nails, the cuticle area around my nails hurt a little. The reason why is because my hands are dry and instead of being able to push my cuticles back gently, they end up splitting when I do. Makes the skin around them irritable too. Another big thing that I noticed after using this product is that my cuticles are actually softer making them easier to push back without the splitting of them. After I apply my nails, they don’t bother me like they used to.

Since I am talking about nails, I figured I would share with you all my new nail project. I painted my nails like cupcakes. When I saw a picture of someone else’s nails, I thought they looked really cute so I decided to give it a try. I usually don’t paint my nails very often because I spend more time making my hands and fingers look good while trying to keep them moisturized to worry about painting them.

Anyway, I started by painting them completely light blue. After they dried, I used nail art nail polish ( polish that has a thin brush) or pen to make lines for the cupcake wrappers on the tops or tips of my nails. I used two different colors for this as you can see above in the picture. After that was dry, I painted on the cupcake icing. This wasn’t very easy of me and when I was done with that part of it, I really wasn’t sure if I was going to continue but I kept on. That step of the painting process doesn’t have to be perfect because I wasn’t done there and they actually turned out pretty well on my opinion. After THAT was dry, then I took another color to make a little topper on each cupcake. Then added some glitter polish over the icing part only making them look like they have sprinkles. After I did that, it didn’t matter what my icing paint job looked like! I think they turned out to be pretty cute and my daughter wants me to do hers. Hubby said he wished they smelled like cupcakes only because he hates the smell of nail polish.

So after my nails were done, I was pretty happy. I haven’t had any hang nails since I started using Neutrogena Norwegian Formula. My cuticles are so much softer than they used to be making my nails look so much better. It’s just amazing to me how much better nails look when your hands are healed and feeling good. I love this product. I’m not kidding when I say it only takes a dab. I usually squeeze out a dab and put just a tiny bit directly on each nail cuticle area and rub it in on each finger. Then the rest of my hands. It’s long lasting too and I only apply once a day. I don’t need more than that. Started seeing results from the very first time I used it and it only kept getting better! Does a great job keeping them all good too! I highly recommend it!
