I have always used Carmex products and a while back I started using Carmex Healing (Hydrating) Lotion and Healing Cream. These products are absolutely wonderful for my skin. Carmex goes beyond lip care! Since I am a member of the Carmex Blog Squad, I was contacted about a new review opportunity to let everyone know of the new packaging. The older packaging says Healing Lotion while the new packaging says Hydrating Lotion. It’s still the same great lotion! I was sent one of their exclusive hoodies and of course the stars of my review – Carmex Healing Lotion and Carmex Healing Cream!
Carmex Hydrating Lotion (Healing Lotion)
First I have to thank Carmex for the extra gift, I absolutely love my hoodie. It’s so soft! Anyway, Carmex Hydrating Lotion (Healing Lotion) has vitamin E and Ultra concentrated aloe vera (200 times what you will find in an aloe plant) to soothe skin and gives skin serious hydration. It is a little more thicker than other lotions I have used but really creamy. I like this because it makes it easier to apply. It absorbs into the skin really quickly which is a big plus for me. I don’t know about anyone else but when my hands are dry, I don’t want to have to keep rubbing something into my skin especially when it’s so dry.
My skin gets really dry sometimes in the colder months and also when the weather changes. Even though it’s technically Spring, over here in good old Ohio, we are still in limbo. Some days it’s 60 degrees and then the next day it’s 18 degrees. We actually have snow calling for tonight. Anyway, my skin (especially my hands) flare up and they get dry. I am being completely serious when I say that when I use the Hydrating Lotion, I feel relief instantly. My skin actually feels hydrated right off the bat and feels soft and smooth. It does a wonderful job protecting my skin and preventing them from getting dry. It’s really is non-greasy and doesn’t feel sticky at all. I love the smell of it too. It’s a light scent and very pleasant!
Carmex Healing Cream works wonders on rough skin. It has increased levels of lanolin which mimics skin’s natural lipid layer to maximize healing. It also has petrolatum and allantoin to soften rough skin and help with moisturization. Here is my problem. I have really rough, dry spots around my ankles and elbows. I have always had this problem. My elbows sometime actually become painful and get so dry and rough that my skin cracks. For the most part, I have always been able to minimize the appearance but Carmex Healing Cream does a really great job.
It’s a bit thicker than the lotion and I like using it for those target spots. Sometimes those spots are bothersome and irritated. Unlike my typical dry hands, I have more problems with these areas when it gets warmer. Carmex Healing Cream does a great job keeping those areas much softer. It does a wonderful job healing and repairing my skin to the point that I sometimes can’t believe I ever had a problem. I like to use it daily even when I am not having much of a problem because it also does pretty well with keeping the problem away. It also smells really nice and has the same light scent as the lotion. Both products are A+ in my book!
