Ipsy Beauty Bag Subscription “Swim Into Beauty” June 2015 with Video #ipsy

ipsy june 2015

Here is my newest Ipsy bag.  This is the June 2015 bag and the theme is “Swim into beauty” which is perfect for summer.  The bag is really cute.  Just a black back with Ipsy written all over it in raised letters.  Black liner and orange zipper.  The bag is actually pretty soft.  Included in my bag were two full size products and three mini/deluxe samples.

What’s in the bag?

  • J.Cat Cosmetics Liptitude Hydrating Lip Stain (full size) $5.99
  • itCosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil (full size) $24.00
  • Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Foundation Primer (deluxe sample) $9.00
  • The Healthy Body Butter Pure Vanilla by Lavanila Laboratories (deluxe sample) $2.00
  • treStiQue Mini Shadow Crayon (mini size) $13.00

Total Approximate Value $53.99

I did my math by comparing the deluxe/mini sizes to the full size products.  Keep in mind that the deluxe/mini sizes are only approximate values!

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer – I have actually been using this primer for a while so it’s not a new product to me.  I think it does a great job helping to minimize the look of fine lines and pores so they aren’t really noticeable after applying my foundation.  This has been one of my favorite primers for a long time.  If you are looking for a great primer, I recommend this one.  Works great and is lightweight.  Full Size 1 fl oz $36.00.

The Healthy Body Butter Pure Vanilla by Lavanila Laboratories – I was introduced to this product thanks to Ipsy.  Its an all natural hydrating lotion/butter with no harsh chemicals.  The vanilla scent is light and it smells really good.  It claims to have an instant hydration and I am pleased to say that it really does.  I have been using it as a hand cream because my hands get dry really easily.  It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or sticky.  I really like it and my hands do to.  Full Size 6.7 oz $19.00.

itCosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil – I really like this brow pencil.  It’s a brown color but it is very universal like it says.  I have really dark brows so I tend to find darker shades of brown or black so I was worried that this pencil wouldn’t work for me because it looks a little lighter than what I normally use.  I found that I actually like it.  It is slightly lighter than what I am used to but it works great with my darker brows.  It fills my brows really well and my brows don’t look like they are painted on – they look like real hair.  This pencil dual ended to and has a brow brush on the other end which makes it really handy.  Full Size $24.00.

treStiQue Mini Shadow Crayon – Another great product I was introduced to thanks to Ipsy.  The color that I received is kona coffee and I really like the color.  It’s a darker shade of brown which goes great with my typical nude shades when I want to create a smoky look with my nudes.  It glides on and is really easy to apply.  It’s creamy and by that I mean that it glides on so smooth that it doesn’t grab hold of my skin.  It blends well too and if you buy the full size of this product, the bottom end has a smudge brush included.  I am definitely going to look into buying some of these shades.  Great color – pigmented well and I am happy with how long the color lasts and how long the wear is.  Full Size $26.00.

J.Cat Liptitude Hydrating Lip Stain – This lip stain is very hydrating!  I absolutely love it!  My lips really do feel hydrated and  the color is great.  Pigmented really well and it has a nice shine to it.  The shine won’t last forever though so if you want to keep your glossy lips, you will eventually have to re-apply.  The color is really long lasting though so instead of applying more, I just applied clear gloss every once in a while throughout the day.  There wasn’t any need to keep applying more color.  I love the color and love the way my lips feel.  Full Size $5.99.

Is Ipsy worth it?  YES!

I have been a subscriber for over a year and love it every month.  It’s only $10 a month and that includes the shipping.  If you are in Canada, there is shipping though.  You always receive 4-5 products each month some of them being generous deluxe samples or mini versions of the product.  Some of them are even full size.  I always look up the values and the total approximate value is on average around $40 each month.  I love how Ipsy works too because it’s the only subscription service that sends you products that best suit you.  They use their IpsyMatch which is a survey you take which you can re-take at any time.  They match you with products based on how you answered the questions.  However, there has been a few times where I wasn’t as excited as other months but every once in a while it’s to be expected.  Regardless, I am always happy with what I receive though.

Another great thing about Ipsy is that you can earn points for leaving feedback on the products you received.  They also have point opportunities to earn by sharing on facebook and you are also provided with your own personal link and get referral points.  These points can be redeemed for full size products that will come with your next Ipsy bag absolutely free.  If you are looking for a beauty subscription that’s affordable, Ipsy is definitely for you and I have been pretty happy with everything I receive each month!

One more great thing is, Ipsy offers discounts on all the products/brands each month so if there is something you really like in your bag, you can buy it at a discounted price!  If you are interested in signing up, sign up here —>  Sign up for Ipsy.
