{Back to School} Family Facts On-The-Go Organizer/Planner Review and Giveaway {CLOSED}

With our daughter going back to school, things have been a lot busier!  There were tons of things that we had going on all at one time before school started such as getting everything ready to go back to school, orientation, meetings at the school, organizing her counseling appointments around school, and so much more.  She also rides the bus to and from school and with other things going on, we have to pick her up sometimes instead of having her ride the bus because since we live out in the country, she doesn’t get home until almost 5:00!  Sometimes that just doesn’t work for us.
Not only do we have all the crazy things going on with school and activities and so forth, we also have two other kids at home and sometimes they have to go to a babysitter (not often) but it’s still hectic because we have a few different family members that we send them to if we need a babysitter.  Trying to figure out who to leave them with can also be a nightmare because we have to find out who happens to be off work that day.  I need help organizing everything and writing everything down works best for me.  There have even been times when I forgot a certain day was a day out of school or I forgot a certain day was a late arrival – those days I sometimes feel like I have lost my mind!
Family Facts has some great products to help busy families keep their busy lives organized.  I was given the opportunity to work with Family Facts on a review and was sent one of their Family Facts On-The-Go 2010 Organizer & Planner.  Let me tell you what, this system has been great and very helpful to me especially here lately!  With the Organizer, I can write down everything – and I mean everything, and it’s all together in one book!
It is in a binder form with a clear plastic waterproof covering which I found to be great when it’s wet and raining outside.  The On-The-Go Organizer has everything separated with tabs so that everything is easy to find.  At the front of the organizer is the Calendar.  Here you will find pages for annual reminders for each month, and a daily activity planner with the time of the day which is really helpful because we have a few things go on each week that happen each week and this has been helpful to me because since I tend to forget things, its a great reminder of what we have going on.
I love the calendar because each page is broken down by the day.  They have a separate section for each day of the month that you can write things down and they are also dated.  It’s also a 16 month calendar too!  What I thought was pretty handy is that there are tear away corners at the bottom of the calendar pages so you can easily find the page that is up to date!

The next section is the contacts section.  This is another reason why it has been perfect to carry with me.  No matter where I go or where I am, I can look up someones number if I need to.  There are also contact sheets for doctors, friends and family, school info (up to 4 different schools) which is really great.  There’s the number for the school, address, staff such as the principal, nurse, secretary, guidance councilor, psychologist, and more.  Having the information for all the staff at our daughter’s school like that is very important to us because of meeting with this person or that person due to her disabilities.  It even has bus information too which is a must have for me to have at my fingertips.
There is also a list section where you can list school schedules, places to eat – which can be helpful if we are out and decide we want to go out.  Keeping restaurant info makes it easy to find out where the best place to go will be – we just call and see if there is a wait, etc.!  You can also list your insurance and medical information which is also a great thing to have handy in case of an emergency.
The Family Facts On-The-Go Organizer also included some stickers to use for No School Days, Parent Teacher Conferences, stickers to use when you pay your bills, etc.  There are also pockets to store coupons!  It’s been my friend at the grocery store!  There are also pockets for business cards or you can even use them for taking pictures of your kiddos with you since they are clear pockets!  There is also a zippered pocket and ink pen so you have everything you need!
“More than a day planner, Family Facts On-The Go is an all-in-one nerve center that will help you conquer the chaos, wherever the day takes you.”
The product was sent to me for free by the company for my use and review. I was not paid to write my review and my opinions are 100% my own.
Buy It:  You can now buy the Family Facts 2010 On-The-Go Organizer for $11.95 by visiting Family Facts website.  They also have their new 2011 Organizers ready to order now.  Don’t forget, you can also buy your refills if you need them for your organizer.  For my Canadian readers, Family Facts On-The-Go will be available at Indigo and Chapters.

  1. I also like the *2011 Family Activity Wall Calendar 🙂 Our household is 3 adults with one in school, one working and one at home. Then 2 children ages 3 & 6. it can get nuts here

  2. I liked the Piece Of Mind Organizer. That would come in handy to get me more organized.

  4. I learned that they have a few other organizers to help you besides the on-the-go. And I found out the "peace of mind" one was not quite what I thought it was going to be, but still could be very useful.

    I love these all in one place organizers for busy families-wish I could be that organized.
