{Back to School} My O’BON Eco-Friendly Pencils and Notebook Review

One thing that I am really compassionate about is green and eco-friendly products.  O’BON makes thier pencils and notebooks with recycled and eco-friendly materials.  Their pencils are made from newspaper instead of wood!

“In its infancy, O’BON was founded on the simple idea that basic products, such as pencils and notebooks, could be made much more responsibly, and contribute to making the world a better place.”

I was given a wonderful opportunity ti try some of O’BON‘s products and I was sent one of their Notebook Journals and a set of their wonderful Pencils.  They have a variety of really cute, fun, and stylish designs and I absolutely love their Wildlife Series Pencils we recieved.

There are 10 pencils included in a pack and I absolutely love the design of the Wildlife Series!  They include animal patterns of the zebra, tiger, bear, leopard, elephant, a parrot, turtle, snake, giraffe, and an alligator.  The animal is even featured on the top of the pencil!
Like I metioned before, they are made from newspaper instead of wood.  Newspaper is supposed to be sronger than wood and after using them myself, I am definitely a believer.  I have had wood pencils literally break before.  They also sharpen really well and they don’t splinter at all when sharpened like some wood pencils might.  They also protect the graphite better too.  These pencils also do not break away at the sharpened graphite either after sharpening them.  They write very well and smoothly on paper too!  I ahve also found them to last longer than your typical wooden pencil which is another big bonus!
The O’BONanza series journals features a fruit design on the front and back cover.  All the journals in this series comes in a spiral notebook with 80 lined pages with O’BON‘s own environmentally-friendly bagasse paper.  They are smaller 6 inch journals that are great for carrying with you everywhere.  They are very eco-friendly being made of recycled materials, sugarcane paper and soy inks.  The cover is also made of 100% recycled cardstock.  The design of the apple is really beautiful.  It even has textured glossy water drops on the apple that looks so real that my hubby thought that one of our kids spilled something on it the first time he saw it!  I absolutely love it and it stays with me in my purse because I use it for my shopping lists!
These products are absolutely fabulous, made well and with great care all the while protecting our environment!
The product was sent to me for free by the company for my use and review. I was not paid to write my review and my opinions are 100% my own.
