“Friends that play together, stay together!” is the Rattles’ motto. The Rattles band consists of four friends, Gus, Kitty, Sal, and Hal. Their manager, Benny drives their tour bus named Sweet Pea. They also drive around with a bunch of “roadies” and their names are easy to remember because they all have the same name – Elvis! Kitty plays the drums and she is the only girl in the band. Gus is the lead singer, Sal plays the rhythm guitar, and Hal plays the bass. Benny may look tough but he’s really a soft friendly guy that enjoys hanging out with the roadies (a fun group of penguins). The Rattles have been friends for a long time and they enjoy singing songs and playing music that makes you feel good with a message of sharing and friendship.
If you are a parent, maybe you are tired of hearing your typical kids music. I know that sometimes I do even though I can tolerate it most of the time. Whats so great about The Rattles is that they are a band that sings and plays similar to the sound of The Beatles or The Monkeys! I love this because not only are the songs great for kids, they get to also learn more about other types of music. Visiting The Rattles website is also a lot of fun for kids because your kids can play some really fun games, download some music, and learn about their favorite Rattles character and learn all about each one. They all have their own personality and they all have a different background. You can download a free MP3 of The Rattles “Wavy Lane”.
The Rattles is one CD that I probably would tire of, honestly. We love the songs and so do our kids and even though these are kids songs, they are wonderful for parents’ ears! The songs sound like our kind of music! The Rattles launched their official website and their first album was released August 17, 2010 in digital and CD format. You can see The Rattles “Rattle On” video on YouTube.

In my opinion, I think the lyrics are great for kids and they are socially educational. They are really fun to sing to, easy for them to learn and just plain, dowright, great music that is fun for the whole family! Check out what others are saying including other moms!:
“If your kids aren’t talking about The Rattles yet, I think you’ll be hearing about them soon!” – Susan Heim, Parenting Author & ‘Chicken Soup for the Soul’ Editor”
“Acclaimed parenting author and ‘Chicken Soup for the Soul’ Editor, Susan Heim referred to the album as “unique”, “catchy”, and “awesome” while Blissful Bee Blog recommended it to “anyone who has children that love music.” The Clever Mommy Chronicles drew comparisons to The Beatles, They Might Be Giants, and Rilo Kiley, and raved, “Really, truly, the CD is fantastic. In fact, I was disappointed because it only has nine tracks. I found myself wanting more. That’s pretty big for a kids’ CD!”
I will say it again, The Rattles are absolutely wonderful! I absolutely agree with some of the comments above because before I even read these, I came to the conclusion that The Rattles remind me of The Beatles or The Monkeys myself. The Rattles get a huge two thumbs up in our family!
