I have worked with Episencial in the past and was trhilled to receive the opportunity to work with them again. I absolutely love natural skincare products or organic skincare products. What I love about them is that their products are manyfactured with solar power and made with natural and organic ingredients. Kim Walls is a mom and a second generation skin care expert and she is also a passionate environmental advocate. The packaging is made from recycled plastics, made in the USA and all products are cruelty free and vagan. They are also phthalate and BPA free! Of course I just love the artwork on the packaging as they are inspired by the World of Eric Carle! All products are baby safe!!
I received three products from Episencial for my use and review. I received a 4oz bottle of Sunny Sunscreen SPF35, .75oz bottle of Protective Face Balm, and a .75oz bottle of Soothing Cream.
Now that the weather is changing and getting warm again, I have already started using sunscreen on my kids especially those hot days. I don’t believe in only using sunscreen at the beach or at the pool. I use it on my kids and even myself all summer long no matter what we are doing. Skin protection is very important to me. Sunny Sunscreen has an SPF 35 and protects well against the sun. It’s made with natural zinc and titanium materials and gives great protections against both UVA and UVB rays. It’s also made with organic ingredients such as shea butter, beeswax, and avocado oil to soften skin and green tea extract to neutralize radical damage.
This is why I love Sunny Sunscreen from Episencial: First of all, it absorbes quickly into skin and you don’t have to keep rubbing and rubbing onto the skin. It’s not runny like other sunscreens can be either. It dries really quickly which is also a big plus for me. One thing that I don’t like about some sunscreens is that they can sometimes leave your skin feeling greasy or sticky. With Sunny Sunscreen, I have never had that problem. Skin feels really soft too! It’s like a natural product that makes your skin feel natural after using it! It’s great in the water too as it is water resistant and I have never had to re-apply more than necessary. It doesn’t have a lot of scent to it either. It’s definitely not like your typical sunscreen smell. It’s kind of fruity but it’s not very strong. You would have to be pretty close to someone before you could really smell it. It’s kind of nice because there aren’t many sunscreens that you can use as an everyday protection without smelling like you just came from the beach!
Episencial Protective Face Balm is great for all over relief chapped skin and lips. It also has an SPF 6 which is great for that added sun protection. I love using this on my little guy’s face because he sometimes gets wind chapped skin pretty easily or irritated skin from drooling and what-not. Using this will protect baby’s skin from those kinds of things and does a good job doing it. Our little guy’s skin is still a bit more delicate than our 5 year old and 10 year old. Again, I have never had a problem with a greasy or sticky residue and the face balm goes into the skin wonderfully. When using it, I have actually noticed the protection his skin gets! It’s made with organic coco butter, aloe, licorice, and zinc. Even though it’s really thick, it’s easy to apply and it really doesn’t have a scent or smell to it either.
Last but definitely not least is the Soothing Cream from Episencial. It works wonders for irritated or itchy skin in lost of ways! made with organic calendula, oat extract, and borage seed to enhance natural lipids and moisture. Acidophilus and neem are also in it giving a boost of immunity while oxysomes protect your skin from harsh elements. Using this Soothing Cream after the sun is great too. It doesn’t matter if you got a little sunburn or not. I know I get dry skin or lose moisture in my face (and so do my kids, just not as bad as I do) after a day out in the sun no matter what kind of protection I use. This product makes my face feel so much better and brings back the moisture it needs!
It has a 50% aloe vera base so it helps soothe and comfort skin really well. I have also used it on my youngest’s skin because he has eczema that comes and goes. It does wonderfully for him when he is feeling itchy. It also works great for rashes too including in the diaper area. I have used it as a diaper cream a couple times and cleared the skin up pretty quickly. There are other uses for it too. I never would have thought about it but I have used it after shaving. My underarms get bumpy and red pretty easily after shaving and I’ll tell you what, the Soothing Cream from Episencial is amazing when it comes to soothing! Again, no greasy or sticky residue and it’s spread onto skin so easily that its not much of a worry making already irritated skin even more irritated by rubbing it on!
Overall, this mom is very pleased with Episencial products!
