Newtons Fruit Thins Review

I have always been a huge fan of Fig Newtons from Nabisco.  When they first came out with new flavors, I was so excited!  But that was a long time ago and now there is something else to get excited over.  Nabisco now has Newtons Fruit Thins which of course I was very excited to try.  I’m not really a big cookie eater which is why I have always loved Newtons.  Newtons has always been unique and made with real fruit so even though I have always thought of them as a cookie, they are so much different than your typical cookie.

What are Newtons Fruit Thins?  They are definitely different than Fig Newtons that’s for sure.  Some may even want to argue that they are more like a cracker than a cookie but then again is a Newton really a cookie?  Of course they are!  And mighty good too!!

There are four flavors that include Cranberry Citrus Oat, Blueberry Brown Sugar, Chocolate Raspberry, and Fig and Honey.  I received a package of their Blueberry Brown Sugar to try and I’ll tell you what, I was very impressed!  My kids even loved them which I think is great because they are made with real fruit as they should be, naturally flavored, and 8 grams of whole grain per serving!  They are difinitely more wholesome than some other snacks!

The reason that I sais some may argue that they are more like a cracker is because they are thin and very crispy!  I love that about them and makes them fun to eat.  I absolutely LOVE the real fruit pieces of blueberry in them and the hint of brown sugar is amazing.  Like I said, they are definitely a cookie and they are so, so, so good!  A serving size is three cookies and they are decent size cookies too.  It’s the perfect serving size for a snack and each serving size is only 140 calories with only 5 grams of total fat!

Newtons Fruit Thins make a great snack especially those late night snacks and they leave me feeling satisfied.  The best thing about it is that if I happen to have a late night snack, I don’t feel too full heading off to bed.  I’m just satisfied!  The only problem I have is that they are so good, they can be hard to stop eating.  That being said, take your three cookies out of the package and leave the package behind or you might find yourself eating 2 or 3 servings before you know it!  I can’t wait to try the other flavors.  Grocery shopping is around the corner again and you can bet I will be buying another flavor to try!

I received the product for free to try and review as part of a one2one Network Campaign.  I was not paid to write my review and any opinions expressed in my review are 100% my own.  Upon writing my review, I have been entered into a drawing to win one of ten VISA gift cards.
