I See Me “My Very Happy Birthday!” Personalized Children’s Book Review/Rafflecopter Giveaway CLOSED

I LOVE I See Me! Personalized Children’s Books.  They are so adorable and I love the personalizations in the story.  It’s more than just inserting a name here and there.  I have worked with I See Me! on a review in the past and was thrilled to have another opportunity!  This time we are reviewing “My Very Happy Birthday!” and it is such a charming and delightful book that my son absolutely loves!

It is a board book with very durable pages and the illustrations are absolutely adorable!  The title will display your child’s name so instead of saying “Liam’s Very Happy Birthday!” it will have your child’s name in the title instead.  The cake on the front cover will also display his or her name.  Our son loves that his name is right on the cover because it’s like it makes the book more special to him.  It’s about HIS birthday!  The inside cover says “This book was made especially for “child’s first, middle (if you choose to add it) name, and last name” who arrived on “child’s birthdate and year””.  I think this is so great because it makes this book that more special for each individual kid in my opinion!

“Turtle twittered and turned atop of his log.  “It’s (child’s first name)’s birthday!  I have to tell Frog!”  So of course he goes and tells Frog and he says “Let’s have a party!  Frog leapt in the air.  It’s (child’s birthday).  It’s time to prepare!”  The next part of the story shows Blue Bird making invitations to send all the guests and this is another part that I really like.  This is where making something personalized is a bit more special with I See Me! books.  In the illustration, there is an invitation displaying your child’s name, birthdate, and the location (which will say “child’s” House” and the time (which will say 2:00 PM).  Even though you don’t choose the time to put in there, it still makes it feel that much more personal especially since it’s in the illustration.

All the other animals including the squirrel, duck kitten, owl, moose, and mouse help get ready for his party.  Later in the book, the illustration shows a birthday banner that displays your child’s name too!  I love when our son gets excited every time his name is mentioned and he loves all the animals.  The artwork in the illustrations are really charming and make it look like the animals were made from cut-outs and things.

I love the text on the pages.  None of it is very long so it makes it easy for young ones to follow along and of course we love that it rhymes.  We always love book that rhyme!  We have other personalized books (generally speaking) but as special as they are, I See Me! feels a little more special to me.  I can tell our son does too from his reactions – it’s all about him!
