I love Seventh Generation Products. I have used all kinds of different cleaning products because they are natural and eco-friendly. Seventh Generation also has a baby line of products which include diapers and training pants and I think they are really great! Seventh Generation partnered up with Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax and now their diapers and training pants features The Lorax! The designs on them are really cute! Since I am a member of MyBlogSpark, I was given the opportunity to join the new Seventh Generation spark and was sent a package of Seventh Generation Free & Clear Training Pants featuring The Lorax and a copy of Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax book!
If you don’t know the story of The Lorax, I will give you a short summary. There is a place where the Lorax once lived which is now basically a wasteland. The Lorax has been gone for a long time and he wanted to know what happened to him and where he went so went to ask the only person that could tell him – the old Once-ler. The Once-ler told him the story about his business that he started and he had to cut down the trees. After so many were cut, The Lorax (who speaks for the trees) showed up and wanted him to stop. Of course he didn’t and his business grew and more of the land was cut and went to ruins as all the animals had to leave. After everything was wasted and nothing left, The Lorax lifted and left a rubble of rocks with one word UNLESS. What The Lorax meant by that word meant this: “UNLESS someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.” —The Lorax.
“Together, Dr. Seuss Enterprises and Random House proudly sponsor The Lorax Project, an ongoing multifaceted initiative designed to raise awareness of environmental issues and inspire earth-friendly action worldwide by passionate individuals of all ages.”

I received a package of Seventh Generation Free & Clear Training Pants (size 3T/4T). They offer diapers in the sizes of N, and 1 through 6, and Overnight in sizes 4, 5, and 6. In Training Pants they come in sizes 2T/3T, 3T/4T, and 4T/5T. I love that they are free of chlorine processing, free of fragrances and latex, no petroleum based lotions, are hypoallergenic and they claim premium absorbancy which can honestly agree with! The color of the training pants are a brown color but that is because they use pigments in their materials because without the added color, the materials would appear colorless – if you could imagine that! It also helps distinguish Seventh Generation’s chlorine free training pants from others you see in the stores that are bleached with chlorine containing substances.
The front design features The Lorax dancing around in a couple places with a couple of the other creatures from the book. The back of them say “The Lorax Approved” which I think is very fitting because unlike all the things that Once-ler did in the story, these training pants are a great thing to approve! They are very elastic-y and easy to slide on and off. Very flexible all around the waist and legs which is very appreciated by this mom. I don’t know how many times we have had to deal with chafting from diapers or training pants rubbing on his legs.
Like I said, they are a very comfortable fit and he doesn’t have any problems getting around and doesn’t slow him down in the process! They are soft around his legs and I think the absorbancy is great. I even put them to the test and let him sleep in one all night (which I typically wouldn’t do with any training pants) and they never leaked overnight. I was pretty impressed. It doesn’t matter which of the two accidents he has, we haven’t had any leakage problems.
They feature tear away sides but the side panels are not velcro like some other training pants are. I actually like this better because with velcro panels, he can tear them apart at the sides himself (which he likes to do quite often for some reason). With these, he cannot tear them away himself although my husband and I don’t have any problems tearing them apart if we need to. Of course I also like how easy they are for him to pull up and down all by himself!
