Bic Soleil Savvy Disposable Razor w/ Refill Cartidges #Review #imabzzagent

If you don’t know what BzzAgent is, it’s a word of mouth company that gives it’s member opportunities to join BzzCampaigns to tell everyone they know about products.  I have been a BzzAgent for a couple years now and one of the newest campaigns that I was invited to join was Bic Soleil Savvy.  In my Buzz kit was a Soleil Savvy razor, coupons to share and some great tips to pass along too.

The Bic Soleil razor has a disposable handle and 4 blade cartridges that easily click onto the handle.  The cartridges come equipped with three blades and an aloe strip that lubricates skin with vitamin E.  I love it because it makes my skin feeling soft and hydrated.  Shaving sometimes dry my skin out so I am always on the lookout for razors that protect me from that and Bic Soleil Savvy does a pretty good job!

The blades are flexible and the heads pivot so there are less chances of nicking your skin or getting a razor cut.  I haven’t even experienced one while using this razor.  I love the shape of the handle.  Another thing that I look for in a razor.  I need something that I can comfortably hold while shaving and being able to do that, makes shaving so much easier.  I also don’t know how many times I have dropped my razor in the shower only to have to stop and look for it before stepping on it.  The Soleil Savvy’s handle has a rubber grip so I rarely drop it.  I also love the shape of it because when I finally put it down, it sits in place right where I left it.

I get a really great shave from the Soleil Savvy and was really impressed with how soft and smooth my legs were afterward.  I didn’t get any bumps and my skin felt hydrated and not dry.  I always get a clean, comfortable shave.  I usually use one cartridge for 3-4 shaves but make sure I change them after that.  I think that’s pretty good for a disposable razor.  I remember five or six years ago, disposable razors (generally speaking) was basically a one time use.  I have noticed that it takes 3 or 4 days for me before the blades start to go dull.

There are some great tips such as using a sharp blade, always shave clean skin and another great tip is to use cream or gel because it’s gentler than soap and actually helps to raise hair.  One tip that I didn’t know was to shave at night.

Why shave at night?

“Shaving removes dead skin cells and the superficial layer of the skin.  While this process is healthy, it reduces your skin’s defenses for a couple hours.  Shaving at night gives your skin time to recover its strength and suppleness to resist irritation.”  Gave me something to think about!

One thing to note:  There are no cartridge refills for this razor.  Even though it comes with them, it’s still disposable.  When buying disposable razors, you would normally buy a package of 3-4 full razors (or more depending on the brand and quantity).  Since you are only getting one disposable handle and you use the same handle until you run out of cartridges, you are actually throwing away less which is another plus for me.  Overall, I really like the performance of the Bic Soleil Savvy and I think it’s a really great razor!

Buy It:  Available at grocery stores, drug stores and mass retailers (like Walmart) for a suggested retail price of $7.49 so look for them the next time you shop!
