What do you think of when you hear Icy Fresh Fizz, Hawaiian Aloha or Sunflower & Sunshine? Do you picture building a snowman, reminiscing over your favorite tropical getaway or seeing a field of huge sunflowers? I was invited to join a new campaign from One2One Network because Gain is celebrating people’s uniqueness – to find the scent that’s unique to you! I was sent a rub and smell strips of all Gain’s scents to choose one that was my preferred unique scent. I have been a fan of Gain for a long time and my favorite scent was Apple Mango Tango because I love fruity scents but when I chose my scent this time, I chose Icy Fresh Fizz.
After I had chosen my unique scent, I was sent a 100 floz bottle to enjoy. Of course I have always trusted Gain to get my clothes clean and it always has so there’s nothing new there. It still does of course! I’m not really big into flowery scents even though I love my garden beds. When I put on a clean shirt, I want to feel fresh. Icy Fresh Fizz does that wonderfully for me and I love how the scent stays in my clothes.
Icy Fresh Fizz smells clean and fresh and it reminds me of what my mom used to wash our clothes in when we were growing up. It doesn’t exactly smell the same but it reminds me of it. Just the clean fresh scent that reminds me of her clean linens. I remember when I was little, I always wanted to help her with laundry and helped her fold the towels and my own clothes. Back then, we used to have to go to the laundromat because we didn’t have a washer and dryer at home. I have no idea why we thought the laundromat was so much fun but maybe because my mom made it that way. She was a single mom and worked hard at raising the four of us so she tried to be with us as much as possible even while she did the things she needed to do instead of leaving us behind all the time. She made a lot of things fun and this scent just reminds me of that. It’s strange how one scent can remind you of so much!
So now, every time I put on a fresh clean shirt, not only do I feel re-freshed and re-awakened, I am reminded of those days. She left a mark on me like most moms do and I live every day hoping I am leaving a mark for my own kids. Icy Fresh Fizz might remind others of snow or cold winter nights, which in a way it does to me, but most of all, it reminds me of the days with my mom when I was a kid. It’s hard to describe the actual scent but it does seem to kind of have a “cool” smell to it. I just love it!
