I love puzzle books especially word searches. I usually carry one of my puzzle books in my purse so that way I can pull it out if we are at the doctor’s office or anywhere else we are at that we are waiting. Wonderful waiting. Don’t you love it? I also like to curl up with a puzzle book in the evenings. Peter Pauper Press has a lot of great gifts including things for kids, stationery, journals and diaries and more. One of their products are 3 puzzle book sets including word searches! One of the products I received was Game On! Word Searches with 140 word search puzzles.
The Game On! Word Searches come with three books with 40 word searches in each book. There is a green, blue, and orange book and they are mini sized so they are easy to carry anywhere with you. What I love about them is that the covers are thicker and tougher than your typical puzzle book basically making them considered to be hardcover. That way the covers don’t get bent up as easy. I love the different levels because each book has three difficulty leveled puzzles. Some of them have the word list for the puzzle while others don’t have a word list at all and you have to find the words without one.
The pages are even a little thicker too instead of the typical magazine style books. I don’t like those kinds because if I use a pen, sometimes the pen bleeds through or if I use a pencil, the pencil doesn’t show up as well sometimes. And of course sometime erasing something in those books don’t work out very well. I don’t have a problem with these Game On! books at all. The kind of paper they are printed on keeps pens from bleeding through and pencils work great in these books!
The print is really easy to read and I love that the puzzles don’t become repetitive. One thing about word search books is that sometime I find myself looking for the same words in a different list. I haven’t seen anything repetitive in any of these books. I love the themed puzzles too because even with the ones without the word lists, it gives you an idea as to what words to find in the puzzle.
And if there is any time that you are stumped, you can find an answer key in the back! I love Game On! Word Search puzzle books. They are fun to do, very easy to carry anywhere with you and are really great quality!
