Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser Review & 20% off Discount

I had heard of Sibu Beauty Products before, also seen on The Dr. Oz show and magazine publications such as Elle magazine but had never tried them until I was contacted to try out one of their products.  My only complaint was to myself.  Why had I never used them before?!  First of all, Sibu Beauty products includes the incredible and amazing fruit, Sea Buckthorn Berry.  Why Sea Buckthorn?  Well, it’s been known as the beauty fruit containing 190 bioactive compounds that revitalizes, restores and protects on both the outside and inside.  It’s also packed with Omegas 3, 6, and 9 and contains Omega 7 which is vital to healthy skin, hair and nails.

A little about Sibu Beauty

“Bruce McMullin founded Sibu in 2003 after series of events led him to Calcutta, India where he crossed paths with an ayurvedic specialist in Chinese plants and herbs. In passing, this expert mentioned a powerful holy fruit, the Sea Buckthorn berry.”

“The sea buckthorn berry fortifies itself against the elements by producing an array of powerful nutrients. Known as the “beauty berry” across Europe and Asia, sea buckthorn contains over 190 bioactive compounds that restore, revitalize, and protect youthful beauty – from the inside-out AND outside-in.”

“With over 190 bioactive compounds, sea buckthorn is an unsurpassed source of Omegas 3, 6, and 9. And it’s a rich source of the elusive essential fatty acid, Omega-7, an essential fatty acid vital to collagen production and healthy skin, hair and nails.”

I received a bottle of Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser for my use and review.  This product is for all skin types and it’s all natural.  I like to use more natural products when it comes to my skin.  I love this product because it does it’s job without compromising your skin’s natural protective nutrients.

  • Leaves skin looking and feeling radiant and refreshed
  • Removes excess oil and impurities
  • Contains micro-particles for a gentle exfoliation
  • Great for removing make-up
  • No-foaming gel formula for all skin types

My Review

After I read the bullet points and the product description, of course I couldn’t wait to see if it does what it claims and how great it works for my skin especially when it comes to my face.

First of all, I love the pump on the bottle.  I haven’t used many facial cleansers that come with one.  Some my think it’s just a trivial thing but for me it’s a big deal.  I don’t really like having to squeeze out my facial cleanser from a tube and awkwardly get the cap back on so it doesn’t get all over my counter by the time I am finished washing my face.  Immediately I noticed the scent.  I have don’t know what sea buckthorn berry actually smells like but the best way to describe it is that it smells kind of orange-like.  A citrusy scent.  In my opinion, the scent even by itself is refreshing.

The consistency is great.  It’s not runny but it’s not to thick.  One thing I don’t like with some cleansers is washing my face with something globby and thick that it’s like putting a mask on my face making it take longer to rinse off.  I didn’t have that problem with this product.  It actually lathers without really becoming foamy.  Even though it’s not as thick as others, there’s no worry about it running off your forehead into your eyes.  It’s really easy to rinse off too and I don’t feel like I am suffocating by the smell of the cleanser.

Some other cleansers I have used almost take my breath away by how “medicated” they smell.  After using Sibu, face feels “cool” but not “medicated”.  It feels really refreshing.  I love the micro particles.  They are really small that you can’t really see them and they feel really small on my face and neck when I use it.  I love it because it definitely feels like it is exfoliating my skin without being harsh at all.  After I rinsed my face and neck, I was really surprised that my face wasn’t pinkish.  Every time I use cleansers, my face usually looks that way but with this product, my face looked normal.  I feel like it’s a lot more gentler on skin.

It does a WONDERFUL job at getting rid of excess oils.  Sometimes my face is dry and sometimes it’s kind of oily.  It works great either way.  I tend to get quite a few blackheads and it does a great job of cleansing my skin that I haven’t had a problem with blackheads for a while.

It may sound odd or a bit unbelievable to some when I say that I noticed a difference in my skin only after a few times of using it.  I am being totally honest.  Only after a few times, my skin looks healthier.  It feels soft and smooth even right after cleaning my face.  It’s really gentle, does it’s job and cleanses really well, does a great job of taking care of that excess oil, and makes my skin feel and look healthier.  I LOVE it!
