Clairol Nice N Easy #RootTouchUp Review and Blog #Giveaway #ad

I recently received an opportunity to try Nice N Easy Root Touch Up free through Vocalpoint.  I was actually sent a free blogger kit.  Included in my kit were free product coupons and a gift card for Ulta as a thank you for my post.  I had never used Root Touch Up before.  I have just always dyed my hair again completely when my roots started coming in.  I was thrilled to be able to try it though because my roots actually needed done and was the perfect time to try it out instead of doing all my hair when the rest of my hair didn’t even need it.

Root Touch Up is designed to cover roots in between colorings.  Each Root Touch Up shade blends well with multiple shades of that color.  I always color my hair Blue Black because I love the richness of the black color using that shade.  Root Touch up black shade is just black.  It even lists the product/shades that you may normally use to color your hair.  Root Touch Up Black claims to blend well with black, natural black, blue black, natural blue black.  I know for sure it works great with blue black!

It comes with everything you need and is easy to use.  First you mix the permanent color crème and the color activating lotion together in the mixing dish that is provided with the root comb.  Then simply brush or comb your hair in your preferred style.  Using styling tip on the comb to part your hair and then using the comb, apply color to your roots.  Before I first started, I was a bit overwhelmed until I read the directions because I was thinking this was going to be an all day affair trying to hit all my roots.  You actually only apply to your most shown roots.

So apply the color to roots that are the most visible at the hairline around the face, part and temples.  If you tend to flip your and create other parts, apply there too.  But you don’t have to worry about every root in your hair such as underneath your hair but you do want to get the areas around the back of your neck if roots are showing there.  You only have to leave it in for 10 minutes and then rinse with warm water.

Check out my before and after picture!  The lighting is slightly different because one of the bulbs in my bathroom decided to go bye-bye.  But in my before, you can see my brown roots and in the after, you don’t see them.  I thought the color blended great with the rest of my hair color!

Would you like to try Root Touch Up for free?  You have a chance to!  Originally there was supposed to be three winners but I got another free product coupon from the Vocalpoint Try and Tell (which I didn’t sign up for since I got the blogger kit, but for some reason got it anyway) so I am using all 4 free product coupons that came in my blogger kit in the giveaway!

Thanks to Nice N Easy and Vocalpoint, (4) FOUR of my lucky DustinNikki Mommy of Three readers will win a Nice N Easy Root Touch Up FREE product coupon so they can pick up their shade and try it for themselves!

  1. I have been wanting to try the Root touch up for sometime, but I have been nervous about how it works. I’d love to try it now that you showed it works great! Thanks for the wonderful review!

  2. This sounds like an easier way to touch up my roots instead of coloring all of my hair. Would love to give it a try.
