Citrus Lane (4 Year Old Boy) April 2014 Box – See What’s Inside!

This is my son’s first Citrus Lane Box!  This is a box for a 4 year old boy.  Since Earth Day is in April, they included some items that focus on eco-friendly design.  Inside our box, we found 5 products, two of which are from Green Toys which we absolutely love.  Listed below are the items and the values of each item that was in our box this month.

What’s Inside the April 2014 (4 year old Boy) Box

  • Jump Rope from Green Toys – $10.99
  • Set of 2 Tumblers from Green Eats – $5.99
  • Prince’s Bedtime Book & CD Set from Barefoot Books – $9.99
  • Lemon Verbena Dish Soap from Mrs. Meyers Clean Day (Deluxe Sample Size 2 oz) – $0.50
  • Free Greeting Card Offer from Treat – $3.49

Total Value – $30.96

I did my best estimation of the dish soap sample.  The full size value for 16 oz bottle was $3.99 so if I did my math correctly, the sample bottle has a value of about $0.50.  Everything else is full size and full value.

Jump Rope from Green Toys – First of all, I love Green Toys.  My boys have a few toys that are from Green Toys and they are pretty durable.  I love that they are very eco-friendly and most parts (if not the whole toy) is made from 100% recycled plastic.  My son got a jump rope with green handles.  I think it comes in blue, pink, green or yellow.  Green happens to be his favorite color so he was pretty pleased when he saw it.  The rope is VERY durable and is made of 100% US-made cotton.  I love that the rope is adjustable because it is a 7 foot rope.  The rope also turns inside the handles so that it doesn’t get wrapped around while jumping.  I think a jump rope is great for coordination and gross motor skills.  Plus it’s long enough for our older kids to play with too when he’s not using it.  Value $10.99 – check out

Set of 2 Tumblers from Green Eats – These tumblers are awesome.  Green Eats is a line from Green Toys featuring plates, cups, utensils and more.  These tumblers are made from 100% recycled milk containers, contain no melamine, BPA, phthalates, PVC, or external coatings.  Another bonus is that they are dishwasher safe.  They clean easily and are very durable no matter how many times they are dropped.  I’m not even sure if they can even be cracked.  Value $5.99 – check out

Prince’s Bedtime Book & CD Set – This is a cute story about a little prince that refuses to sleep and everyone in the kingdom puts their best efforts into getting him there.  The story is easy to follow along with and is very relatable.  I love the CD that comes with it because one version of the story has chimes so he knows when to turn the pages if he wants to follow along and read it by himself.  I love Barefoot Books.  My kids have a lot of them!  Value $9.99 – check out

Lemon Verbena Dish Soap from Mrs. Meyers Clean Day – I love using these products.  I have used other products in my home but never tried the dish soap before due to my hands.  I have a certain dish soap brand that I have always had to use because it’s the only brand that doesn’t irritate my skin.  So I gave it a try and to my pleasant surprise, it didn’t bother my skin at all.  It cleans well, rinses well and smells pretty good.  Since I now know it won’t irritate my skin, I’ll have to buy some!  Full Size Value (16 fl oz) $3.99 – check out

Greeting Card from Treat – Last but not least is our greeting card offer from Treat.  I haven’t yet ordered my card but I did check out what they have to offer and they offer some really great, beautiful cards.  You can personalize them and add photos as well.  I am planning on giving the code to my husband and letting him create a card with our kids for Mother’s Day.  I know, I know, I would already know about the card BUT I won’t know what it will look like.  They are always wanting money to buy gifts for others.  I guess I can say I am pretty happy about that instead of wanting money to buy themselves something (although they do still ask for something at the store every once in a while!)  Value $3.49 – check out

Want to sign up and try it?

It’s easy to sign up.  Head over to Citrus Lane and click Join.  Enter your information including your child’s name, birthday and gender and each month your child will get a surprise box once a month.  Inside the box, you will receive products that best suit your child.  A monthly subscription is $29 a month and you would pay each month unless you cancel which you can do at any time.  They do have a 3 month plan and a 6 month plan.  You actually save money when you go with a plan.  The 3 month ends up equaling out to only $24 a month and the 6 month plan equals out to $21 a month.  The only difference between a plan and the monthly, the plans you pay in full instead of monthly.  They will automatically renew once the plan runs out unless you cancel.

There is an offer to get $20 off your plan.  Choose your plan and enter code ESCALATE.  If you just go with a monthly to try it out, your first box will only be $9!  Or choose a plan and get $20 off your plan.  You can cancel anytime after you receive your first box.  Shipping is ALWAYS Free!!

ESCALATE can only be applied to any self-subscription purchases by new Citrus Lane customers. It cannot be applied to gift subscriptions. Cannot be combined with other promotions. Subscriptions automatically renew to full retail price. You cannot cancel until you’ve received your first box.

Disclaimer:  This is not a paid or sponsored post.  All opinions are 100% my own.  I received my first box free with a promotional code but any upcoming boxes I receive will be from my paid subscription paid for by me.  This post may include affiliate links.
