As a member of Smiley360, I was given an opportunity to join a new Smiley mission for 5 Hour Energy. I was sent a kit that included two 5 Hour Energy products and information/sharing guide for free. All opinions in the following review are 100% my own.
5 Hour Energy (Living Essentials) is donating to Living Beyond Breast Cancer from the sales of their limited edition pink ribbon 5 Hour Energy drinks. “Now through December 31, 2014, Living Essentials will donate five cents from the sale of every specially marked bottle of Pink Lemonade flavored 5 Hour Energy to Living Beyond Breast Cancer. LBBC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting people with trusted breast cancer information and a community support. The minimum guaranteed donation is $200,000.”
I love that 5 Hour Energy is doing this. My step-dad’s mom was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago. She is a fighter and is a survivor. Breast cancer hits close to home to me as it does with many others. I don’t drink 5 Hour Energy all the time but I do drink it every once in a while. I actually keep some in the cupboard so the next time I pick some up, I will get some more of the Pink Lemonade Pink Ribbon bottles!
A little about 5 Hour Energy – The claims are that it gives you 5 hours of energy, it’s sugar free, only 4 calories, and no sugar crash. I have never experienced anything like a sugar crash or anything like it later in the day after drinking it. The results may not be the same for everyone. They do give me a burst of energy. I feel normal, it’s not like they make me wired or anything. When I drink them, I normally add half a bottle to my morning coffee and I’m good to go. I have a hard time waking or feeling awake in the morning even after getting 7 to 8 hours of sleep. Not all the time though. This product contains caffeine comparable to a cup of premium coffee and you should not exceed more than two bottles a day. Keep them away from kids because they are for adults only!
So this was the first time trying Pink Lemonade flavor. I normally just have the regular 5 Hour Energy that I put in my coffee. I never thought 5 Hour Energy was the greatest tasting which is why I add it to my coffee. It’s not terrible but not the greatest flavor. When I first took a drink of the Pink Lemonade I had to make a face. It is pretty tangy. At least to me it is. But that’s okay because I think it tastes better than the regular 5 Hour Energy. It’s really not bad. I also noticed the strong pink lemonade smell as soon as I opened it.
Overall, I like it. It does what I want it too for me and the flavor isn’t bad. If you are a 5 Hour Energy user, make sure you look for the pink ribbon bottles!

Disclaimer: I was not compensated for this post however, I received free product mentioned in my post for my use and review through Smiley360. All opinions expressed in my post are 100% my own.
I absolutely love this product. It is a quick and easy fix for those days when I have a lot of things on my to do list but little energy. I am very sensitive to caffeine and energy drinks in general but this one does not make me shake or gives any side effect. I feel alert, focused and ready to take on the world! I actually did not buy this product on Amazon but received a free sample from Smiley. Just wanted to share my opinion for those who consider buying this product.
