Walmart Beauty Box – What I Recieved in Mine (Winter) #WalmartBeauty

IMG_5179

My new Walmart Beauty Box (Winter 2014) arrive yesterday!  This is a subscription through Walmart.  It’s $5.00 per box and that includes the shipping.  Technically the box is free, you are just paying a flat $5.00 for the shipping.  There are 4 boxes total per year – one box every three months and you only pay $5.00 every three months (when your next box ships).  Basically you get a new box per season, Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer.  If you are not signed up, you can sign up HERE if you are interested.  If you sign up now, you might still be able to receive the Winter box.  If not, you will get the next box – but you won’t be charged until the next box is ready.

Here is a shipping schedule list

The last box I received, I found out that the products may vary because you are sent products based on your age from what I can tell.  If you are a subscriber or thinking about it and have seen other boxes, the products in mine may be slightly different than others’.  If you want more details about how this works, check out my previous blog post found HERE.  If you want to see what I got in my last beauty box and missed my post, you can see that HERE.

What was in my box?

I received a couple tiny samples, a few deluxe/travel samples, and one full size product.

  • Maybelline Dream Wonder Powder (tiny sample)
  • Nivea Cocoa Butter Body Lotion (tiny sample)
  • Olay Fresh Effects Makeup Remover Wipes 7ct (deluxe sample) $1.10
  • Loreal Paris Oleo Therapy Oil Infused Shampoo (deluxe sample) $1.40
  • Loreal Paris Oleo Therapy Oil Infused Conditioner (deluxe sample) $1.40
  • Jergens BB Body Cream (deluxe sample) $1.60
  • Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick (full size) $4.97

Total approximate value $10.47

I compared the full size values to the size of the deluxe samples (of course the full size value was easy) to come up with the approximate values.  I didn’t value the tiny samples.  I used walmart.com for pricing.

I really like this service.  It gives me a chance to try products that I may not have tried before and it’s only $5.  The value of the box is more than that so to me it’s worth it.  I do personally think the first box (my fall box that I received) was a little better than this one.  But with any subscription you will have that every once in a while.  I do really like the shampoo and conditioner though.  I always use an oil on my hair with my conditioner while in the shower and this shampoo and conditioner already has it in there.  It smells really good and leaves my hair clean and shiny.  Looks healthy too.

The Olay Fresh Effects wipes are totally awesome and removes makeup really easily without drying my skin.  I have used Jergens BB Body Cream before and absolutely already love it.  Leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth and also gives it a little glow.  I haven’t tried the Dream Powder sample yet but the Nivea lotion is pretty good too.  I love how my skin feels afterward.  The lipstick is really great.  Nice color, very hydrated and doesn’t dry my lips out.  The color is fairly lasting, I don’t have to re-apply.  I normally wear a gloss over any lipstick though, it’s usually the gloss that I re-apply.  This lipstick doesn’t have any shine to it so if you want shine, you will want a gloss over it.

So that was my Winter Walmart Beauty box!  Now to wait to see what Spring brings!  See my unboxing video below!
