I am an Influenster and recently I received the opportunity to participate in a new VoxBox program. The latest VoxBox that I received was the Frosty VoxBox. I received the box with all the products inside of it free from Influenster for testing and review purposes. You can see my Frosty VoxBox post here. One of the items I received in my box was the NYC New York Color Lip Color in Sugar Plum.
I absolutely love this lip stick/lip color! There are 20 different shades and the color that I received is Sugar Plum. It’s a pinkish color but it’s a little dark instead of a bright pink. That’s fine by me because I prefer darker shades. It is really creamy and just glides on my lips. My lips look smooth and silky and the lip color feels great on my lips! It’s not sticky at all and when I first apply it, it does have a little shine too it. It’s not too glossy though. I love that it’s really hydrated and it does not dry my lips out or dry out and crack.
The wear is pretty long lasting. It claims that it lasts up to 6 hours. The color definitely lasts that long but I did notice that after a few hours, it started to lose it’s shine. It did not lose the color on my lips though. Just the shine. The color will last all day. If I want it to look shiny again, I re-apply after about 4 hours or I just use a clear gloss. But in my opinion, that about how all lip color goes. It comes off on your cup when you are drinking something and what-not.
I think it’s a great fall/winter color although I could see me wearing this color in all seasons. I still can’t get over how well the color stays all day long. And as an added bonus, it has a great smell too it. It smells kind of candy-ish! Great price too and very inexpensive.
Buy it: For more information, visit http://www.newyorkcolor.com/us/makeup/expert-last-lip-color. You can buy this lip color at most drugstores and other stores such as Walmart for around $1.99.
