Walmart Beauty Box – What I Recieved in Mine (Spring) 2015 #WalmartBeauty

walmart beauty box spring 2015

My new Walmart Beauty Box (Spring 2015) arrived last week!  This is a subscription through Walmart.  It’s $5.00 per box and that includes the shipping.  Technically the box is free, you are just paying a flat $5.00 for the shipping.  There are 4 boxes total per year – one box every three months and you only pay $5.00 every three months (when your next box ships).  Basically you get a new box per season, Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.  If you are not signed up, you can sign up HERE if you are interested.  If you sign up now, you might still be able to receive the Spring box.  If not, you will get the next box – but you won’t be charged until the next box is ready.

Shipping Schedule List

The last few boxes that I received, I found out that the products may vary because you are sent products based on your age from what I can tell.  If you are a subscriber or thinking about it and have seen other boxes, the products in mine may be slightly different than others’.  If you want more details about how this works, check out my previous blog post found HERE.  If you want to see what I got in my last beauty boxes, use the category tabs at the top of my page.  “Product Reviews and Giveaways” then “Wellness and Beauty” and scroll down to “Walmart Beauty Box”.

So, what was in my box?

I found a lot more coupons than I did in previous boxes and there were a few tiny samples, a few deluxe/travel samples and one full size product.

  • Maybelline New York Fit Me! Foundation (tiny sample)
  • Garnier Ultra Lift Miracle Sleeping Cream (tiny sample)
  • Nivea In Shower Body Lotion (sample sachet)
  • Lady Gaga Fame Black Fluid Perfume (small spray vial)
  • Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Repair & Moisture Shampoo (deluxe sample/travel size) $.90
  • Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Repair & Moisture Conditioner (deluxe sample/travel size) $.90
  • Dove Go Fresh Revitalize Body Wash (deluxe sample/travel size) $.50
  • Neutrogena Healthy Skin Boosters Facial Cleanser (deluxe sample/travel size) $.90
  • Rimmel London Lash Accelerator Mascara (full size) $8.97

Total approximate value $12.17

I compared the full size values to the size of the deluxe samples (of course the full size value was easy) to come up with the approximate values.  I didn’t value the tiny samples.  I used for pricing.

Overall Opinions

I will first make my comments about the subscription service.  Overall I like it.  This is my third box and each time I have received at least one or two full size products so it definitely makes up for the $5 I paid for each box because it’s always valued more than that.  There are a lot of tiny and deluxe samples but I don’t have a problem with it.  Technically the box is free anyway, I am just paying the shipping of five bucks which is only once every three months.  It also gives me a chance to try products I haven’t tried before and may not have considered if I didn’t try them.

Onward to the products.  The Lady Gaga perfume actually smells pretty good.  I bought a bottle of it a while back.  I like it because most of the perfumes I wear are more on the sweet side while this one is not.  I prefer to wear this perfume at night though because it seems more fitting to do so.  It’s not overpowering but it is long lasting.  It doesn’t have a weird lingering scent when it starts to dissipate like some other perfumes might.

The Dove Go Fresh Body Wash is great too.  This is another product that I have already been using.  The Revitalize body wash has a mandarin and tiare flower scent but I mainly just smell mandarin.  It’s not overpowering and it’s a light scent that lingers for just a little bit after showering.  Cleans well, lathers and rinses well and leaves my skin feeling soft.  The Neutrogena Healthy Skin Booster Facial Cleanser is a new product for me to try.  It claims that it doesn’t overdry skin but I think it does.  That could be just me though.  I haven’t found a facial cleanser that doesn’t dry my skin out which is why a facial moisturizer after cleaning my face is a must.  It does a great job in cleaning and evening my skin out.

Last but not least is the Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara.  This is yet again another product that I had already been using.  Glad I got a new one though because I was almost out.  Now I don’t have to buy any.  It is suppose to help with the growth and strength of your lashes and I have been using for a few months now.  My overall appearance of my lashes is awesome.  It took a while but my lashes do actually look a little fuller and longer even without mascara.  I have been pretty happy with it and it doesn’t run or flake away either.

So that was my Spring Walmart Beauty box!  Now to wait to see what Summer brings!  See my unboxing video below!
