Dandelion Crayon to Retire from Crayola (Buy a custom box)

Okay, so about a week ago I heard about Crayola announcing a color they were going to retire.  I was hoping it would be a color I rarely use.  Sadly it was not. Dandelion is retiring.  Call me weird or strange for being sad about a certain crayon not being available anymore – I don’t care.  I rarely used yellow.  Dandelion was my yellow.  Instead of regular old yellow.

So of course Crayola is celebrating Dandelion’s retirement while I am heartbroken over it.  They are offering Dandelion merchandise to be purchased on their website.  You can check it out here —>  Crayola Dandelion Momentos if you are interested.  I do have to say though, some of the stuff is cute.

I found out that Dandelion is still available right now when you create your own Crayola box of crayons.  You can choose your size box, add your own colors, and even customize the box if you want.  One the Build a Box page, click on Get Started.  You can choose and 8ct box for $4.99, 64ct box for $5.99 – $24.99 (depending on customization), or an Art Case for $49.99.  You can choose your own crayons.

Call me crazy but I just customized a 64ct box of all Dandelion crayons and ordered it.  It was $12.99 because I didn’t bother personalizing the box.  I can’t wait until I get my box of gold.  If you are as crazy as I am and want to order your own box of Danelion crayons, you can check out the Crayola My Way to create your own box.  I don’t know how long they will be available to order this way so if you want them, I would get on it.
