My Spring 2017 Walmart Beauty Box arrived a few days ago! If you don’t know what this is, it’s a subscription from Walmart. Most if the items are really good size samples, there’s usually a couple small samples and sometime there are full size products. It’s one box per season and only $5 per box shipped. If you want to sign up, use the above link. If you want more information first, you can check out my blog post HERE about it.
This time the box looks a little different. Normally the box lids just flip open but this box lid is completely removable. I actually might just use it for storage. Most of the items I got were really good size samples. They were like travel size. All these products are also available at Walmart for purchase.
What was inside my box?
- Dove Advanced Care Cool Essentials Deodorant (Travel Size)
- Shwarzkopf GLISS Hair Repair Ultra Moisture Shampoo (Travel Size)
- Shwarzkopf GLISS Hair Repair Ultra Moisture Conditioner (Travel Size)
- Colgate Radiant Optic White Toothpaste (Travel Size)
- Biore Baking Soda Acne Scrub (Generous Travel Size)
- Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation (One time use foil packet)
- Aveeno Positively Radiant In-Shower Facial (One time use packet)
- Aveeno Positively Radiant Overnight Hydrating Facial (One time use packet)
- Sinful Colors Professional Nail Polish (Full Size Bottle)
So what did I think?
I love the Dove deodorant. I have used their deodorant before and I love how it smells, control odors, makes my skin feel good and I don’t end up with residue on my clothes that often. I have never used this particular one before or the scent. I think it smells really good. I’ll have to buy some. The toothpaste is already something that I have been using too. It cleans my teeth really well and it does make my teeth look a little whiter. It takes a week or two to really notice a difference so don’t expect magic after just one use. I do take a break from it for a while though like I do with any whitening toothpaste.
I used the shampoo and conditioner last night. I have enough left in the bottles for one more use. I have never used this brand before. It smells amazing. It’s for dry, stressed hair – that’s my hair and it hydrates and softens hair. After one use, my hair did look a little more shiny than usual and it was pretty soft. I thought it worked pretty good but I have used other shampoos/conditioners that was just a little better.
I have not tried the small samples of liquid foundation or the Aveeno yet. When I do, I’ll update and let you know how those went. I love Biore but this was the first time I used their Baking Soda Acne Scrub. I don’t have much of an acne problem – I have more of a blackhead problem. My daughter will probably get more use out of this product than I would. It has a citrusy smell to it and is orange in color. For some reason I wasn’t expecting that. I have no idea why. But anyway, it also has those little scrubber beads in it. I thought it cleaned my face really well and it was easy to rinse. My skin felt really clean afterward and it didn’t dry my skin out.
Last but not least is my bottle of Sinful Colors Professionals Nail Polish. This nail polish has been a favorite of mine for a while. First of all, it’s very affordable. I can get it at Walmart a little less than $2 per bottle. I don’t normally like going cheap on nail polish but this polish is a pretty good quality. It always goes on evenly and beautifully. The colors are awesome and I don’t have to add multiple coats. I have used other polishes that chip less easily but this polish is pretty good for the price. The color that I received is “Truth or Lavender”. I love this color. It’s a really pretty light purple color. I absolutely love it. It also has a Demi Matte finish too which I really like. It looks matte with a slight shine to it all at the same time. I’m not sure how to explain it but it’s pretty awesome.
I really liked this box. I think it was worth the $5. I’m really glad I got that nail polish!
