Recently I received the opportunity to try Crown Maple Organic Syrup free through Daily Goodie Box. Daily Goodie Box is a sampling site you can sign up at for free to receive opportunities to receive free sample boxes. All you have to do is leave feedback for the samples you have tried. Some of the samples you receive are even full size products. In fact, every box I have received has always had one or two (sometimes 3) full size products inside. If you want more information, check out my last post HERE or check out all the previous posts I have written up HERE. Or you can just go to Daily Goodie Box and check out their site.
This syrup comes in little glass bottles and you can get three packs of them on their website. These also make really great gifts. Now when I first saw that I had some maple syrup in my box, I figured I would need to make some waffles or pancakes because that’s what I only use maple syrup on. Well, that’s not really the case.
I made some crumb cake and was going to eat a small piece with a scoop of ice cream on top. I didn’t have any ice cream topping since I ran out of my caramel. I look over and there is my little bottle of Crown Maple Syrup sitting there on the counter since I hadn’t yet tried it. So I got and idea. I drizzled a little of the syrup over my ice cream. And I will tell you what. It was delicious!
I absolutely adore the taste of this syrup. It has a stronger maple flavor than your typical syrup you pick up at the grocery store. It is sweet, however, not as sweet as other syrups. I can appreciate this because sometimes syrup can be too sweet for my liking. I could not believe I was eating crumb cake and ice cream topped with maple syrup. I have since then eaten it on top of chicken and waffles too. I also used some to caramelize bacon. My husband used a little on his pork chops the other night for dinner and he said it was really good on his chops. I personally didn’t go for that one myself though.
The consistency of this syrup is really great. It’s not too thick and it isn’t too watery or thin either. I think it’s perfect. And I still can’t get over the flavor and how many different foods I can enjoy with it. I never knew how many different foods tasted good with the right kind of maple syrup. Move over waffles and pancakes!
The other thing I love about it is that it is certified organic and is 100% pure maple syrup. On their website they do offer larger single bottles along with the sets of petites. You can get a set of petites for roughly $16 and a larger bottle for roughly $20. Make sure to stop by their website to check them out. It’s worth it to me. And they have different taste varieties too.
