I was sent 2 free product coupons to try Horizon Organic Good & Go for free. I was also sent another $1.00 off coupon for Horizon Organic Protein 15. Both of these products are new so if you haven’t been able to find the Good & Go yet, you should be able to find them soon. Some stores may not have gotten them in yet. I was going to use my money savings coupon for the protein drink 4 pack but my store didn’t have those in. They did have the Good & Go though.
Horizon Organic Good & Go! Snacks
Right now there are three varieties. There’s Cheddar & Pretzels, Colby & Apple Crisps (dried apples) and Cheddar with Raisins, Cashews, and Sweetened Cranberry Mix. All three of them are organic which is pretty awesome to me. One of the reasons why I love Horizon Organic products. We use a lot of them and I love that they are affordable and great for my kids’ school lunches. The Good & Go with the Cashew/Cranberry Mix contains 7 grams of protein, the one with the apples contains 5 grams of protein and the one with the pretzels contains 6 grams of protein. So they are a good source of protein as well.
These are really great for on the go. Soccer season has started so now right after school, we have some busy evenings during the week. As soon as the kids get off the bus, we have about a half hour to start any homework and then they have to get ready for soccer practice/games. We don’t usually have time for dinner before we go so grabbing something they can eat on the way is a must. That way they aren’t really hungry while having to wait until we get home to cook and eat dinner.
The Good & Go! are perfect for that. They are a great source of protein and are a healthy snack to have. Nothing that will drag them down and make them feel bad during practice and nothing that will spoil their dinner later. The Good & Go! are easy to open which is a good thing since I also like to send them in school lunches. Our younger son sometimes has problems opening things and even though there is always someone in the cafeteria to help anyone who needs it, it’s nice that he’s able to open them himself.
The package is a divided container and on one side is the cheese. The other side contains the other food like the pretzels or the apples.
How do they taste?
My kids’ favorite is the Cheddar and Pretzels. The pretzels are little pretzels and they are really good. They taste fresh and they are crunchy even though they are packaged in something that is found on cold shelves. They both like the apple crisps as well. I personally like the Raisin/Cranberry/Cashew mix ones. The cranberries are really tasty!
The cheese is fabulous. Of course I was expecting the cheese to be fabulous because Horizon snack cheese is my go to brand. We love them. Great for on the go. Great for lunches. Great for whenever. They taste great and my kids love them!
