Walmart Beauty Box Review – Fall 2017 #WalmartBeautyBox

I am finally getting my newest Walmart Beauty Box review up. I know, I know. I am a little late since it’s now the end of January. But to be fair, this box arrived pretty late for the Fall season. I didn’t get my box until right before Christmas. Normally these boxes arrive at the beginning of each season. I hope the Winter box won’t arrive after Spring has already begun. Anyway, here goes…

A little more information if you are not a subscriber

I have been getting the Walmart Beauty Box for a long time now. It’s a subscription but it’s not every month. It’s only every three months or once per season. There’s a box filled with samples and sometime full size products that kind of go along with the season. It’s only $5 per box (that’s including shipping). You can read more about how it works HERE. You can also check out my previous posts about this box HERE as well. If you would like a direct link to sign up, sign up at Walmart Beauty Box by using that link.

What was in this box?

  • Hello Pure Mint Toothpaste (Travel Size)
  • Gold Bond Ultimate Hydrating Cream Radiance Renewal (Travel Size)
  • Plackers Micro Mint Dental Flossers with Travel Case (Travel Size)
  • TRESemme Extra Firm Control Hair Spray (Travel Size)
  • New Body Fantasies Layering Collection Fragrances (Travel Size, 2 different fragrances)
  • Olay Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream (Sample Packet)
  • Nivea Cherry Blossom Oil Infused Lotion (Sample Packet)
  • Nivea In Shower Body Lotion Radiant Silk (Sample Packet)
  • Donkey Milk Sleeping Mask (Single Use Packet)
  • Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Shampooo and Curl Enhancing Hair Smoothie (Sample Packet, one time use)

So what did I think?

First I am going to start with the small sample packets. The Shea Moisture hair care products are amazing. I have used them before and I love them. The Curl & Shine Shampoo leaves my hair really shiny and soft. My natural curls look great after using it too. The hair Smoothie is also pretty great too. It’s like a hair mask. I use it instead of using regular conditioner. And works really well too. I didn’t use the Nivea lotion or the Olay samples yet but I did use the Nivea In Shower Lotion. It’s actually a moisturizer and exfoliator in one. After washing, you use the lotion in shower. Then rinse it off. I love it because by using it in shower, it helps lock in the moisture. My skin feels great afterward, smells great and also rinses pretty well without leaving any residue. I’ll have to buy myself a bottle of it for sure.

I was really interested in the Donkey Milk Sleeping Mask. I had heard of it previously but I had never tried it until now. I really like it. I wasn’t sure about sleeping with a mask but after you apply it, it doesn’t feel like you are actually wearing a mask. At least I didn’t think so. In the morning, you just rinse your face. My skin felt smooth and soft after just one use. I was impressed with it.

TRESemme Extra Firm Control Hair Spray – This is great to throw in my purse just in case. This particular hair spray isn’t my usual go to spray but it does have a good hold. I prefer a flexible hold and I don’t really get that with this spray. It doesn’t weigh my hair down though which is a plus.

Hello Pure Mint Toothpaste – I really like this toothpaste. I love the flavor of it. My husband doesn’t like it because he says it has too strong of a mint flavor. I love it because it is a whitening toothpaste without peroxide. It also contains no artificial sweeteners or preservatives. Never tested on animals either. It gets my teeth clean and my mouth and teeth feel clean and fresh. It doesn’t have a weird grainy feel to it either. I think it does an okay job with whitening.

Plackers Micro Mint Dental Flossers – I don’t know how many times we have gone out to dinner and I get something stuck in my teeth. I can’t stand that. These flossers are easy to use and work really well. There are 12 flossers in a travel pack. I love the case. It has a flip top for easy access and its durable enough to throw in my purse. The mint flavor isn’t definitely there but not overpowering. This my husband can appreciate.

Gold Bond Ultimate Hydrating Cream – This lotion has come in handy. Especially since it’s travel size. In the winter months my hands get dry really easily and it’s nice to have something handy when I’m out and about. Sometimes my hands get so dry they hurt. I love this cream because it is very hydrating. It’s not greasy or sticky and absorbs quickly.

Body Fantasies Layering Collection – I am going to have to get the full size product because I love these scents. And I love the idea. The full size comes with four fragrances I believe. In my travel/sample pack, I received two scents. They came in small vials. The scents that I got is Tropical Wish, and Cozy Cotton. The Tropical Wish has a fruity scent to it while the Cozy Cotton has a nice clean fresh scent. The idea of the Layering Collection is that you can layer different scents and mix and match them to make up a new scent I suppose. Or wear the scents alone.

I love both these scents alone. Together I am not sure. I mean they do mix well and smell nice but I prefer them alone. That is why I want to get the full size collection and try out the others. These fragrances aren’t overpowering either. That being said, they do have a fairly good wear before the fragrance starts to diminish. They don’t start smelling weird later in the day either. I really like them.
