Walmart Beauty Box Review – Spring 2018 #WalmartBeautyBox

Yay! I already received my Spring Walmart Beauty Box! The reason that I am so excited is that because my last few boxes arrived pretty late in the season. This time it arrived in the beginning of the season. This happens to be the Trendsetter Box and I have tried all the products I have received in my box so now I can review them and tell you about them. For more information about the Walmart Beauty Box, see the bottom of this post.

What was in this box?

  • Garnier Whole Blends Oat Delicacy Shampoo and Conditioner (sample)
  • SOO AE Acai Berry Revitalizing Sleeping Mask (single use)
  • (NEW) Rembrandt 3 Day Whitening Boost Kit (deluxe sample)
  • Hello Charcoal Activated Whitening Toothpaste (deluxe sample/travel size)
  • SoftSoap Earth Blends Body Wash (deluxe sample/travel size)
  • Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Sheer Hydration (deluxe sample/travel size)
  • Dove Exfoliating Body Polish (deluxe sample)
  • Clairol Nice N Easy Hair Color (coupon for free box)

Since this is a Walmart Beauty Box, prices that I may have included in this post are based off of Walmart prices.

So what did I think?

Garnier Whole Blends Oat Delicacy Shampoo and Conditioner – The full size bottle of this shampoo and conditioner can be purchased at Walmart for $4.97. I have purchased and used this shampoo and conditioner before this sample and I really like it. It makes my hair look shiny and feel and look healthier. Does pretty great when it comes to moisturizing my hair.

SOO AE Acai Berry Revitalizing Sleeping Mask – These single use masks are a full size product and you can get them for around $2.50. It’s kind of pricey for a single use item but then again, I only use a mask about once a week anyway. This is an antioxidant mask with nutrients for skin revitalizing. It also contains sage and lavender extracts to sooth and relax skin. I also found it relaxing to sleep. It’s lightweight and doesn’t bother me while I sleep. It dries pretty quickly and doesn’t make you skin feel tight or anything. It’s not a peeling mask. It’s one that is just rinsed off in the morning. I love how my skin feels afterward. It’s soft and it makes my skin look better.

Rembrandt 3 Day Whitening Boost Kit – I couldn’t find this product on the Walmart website. It might be because it’s a new product. Along with this product, I also received an information card with a money saving coupon. The full size product is a one week whitening kit and not a 3 day kit like I received. I’m not sure what the full size price is though. The kit includes whitening strips for your upper and lower teeth and you are supposed to do a treatment twice a day. There’s enough strips for twice a day in each box. I never had much luck with strips so my husband was the one that tried these out. He thought the custom fit whitening strips fit in his mouth pretty well. They stayed in place for however long he needed them to stay in place for. It does claim that you will have whiter teeth in only 3 days. My husband’s teeth did look slightly whiter but looked like he would need to try them longer for the results he wants. But they do seem to work.

SoftSoap Earth Blends Body Wash – The full size bottle of this soap is $4.97. The scent that I received is Coconut and Fig and I love it. I have always loved SoftSoap hand soap and I love this body wash too. It doesn’t dry my skin out and my skin feels so soft afterward. The scent is amazing! It’s paraben free, alcohol free, and dye free. My skin feels moisturized and hydrated after use too. I had a buy a full size bottle of it!

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Sheer Hydration – Full size for this product is $9.97. I actually got a sample of this in my last Walmart Beauty Box (Winter) so if you want to check out what I thought, you can see my Winter Walmart Beauty Box post.

Dove Exfoliating Body Polish – Full size for this product is $5.93. It comes in a jar and is used like a body wash in the shower. I received a sample of this some time before and I really liked it so I bought some. I only use it once a week though because my skin tends to dry out when overusing exfoliating cleansers or soaps. This is really gentle on my skin though. It makes my skin feel really soft and moisturized. I feel clean and it rinses easy without leaving any residue. I love the light scent it has.

Hello Charcoal Activated Whitening Toothpaste – Full size for this toothpaste is $4.82. It’s a bit pricey but I love this brand because it’s cruelty free and naturally friendly. It’s free from artificial sweeteners, flavors, dyes, flouride, sulfates, microbeads, triclosan, parabens, and it’s also dairy and gluten free. I am already a fan of this brand and I was so interested to try out this toothpaste when I saw it in my box. I have never tried a charcoal activated toothpaste before. I opened it up and it was black paste of course. But then I got a little anxious about using it.

But I did. So I start brushing my teeth and I just laughed. I couldn’t help it. My teeth and mouth were completely black. It was the weirdest thing. Anyway, it did rinse out easy. It didn’t stain my teeth or my toothbrush. When you think of charcoal, you might be thinking it must taste terrible. Nope. It doesn’t taste like anything but mint toothpaste. The mint flavor is a bit strong but I didn’t mind it. I thought I would feel like my mouth wasn’t clean because it was black toothpaste but it was clean. My teeth and mouth felt great afterward. I really liked it. I didn’t notice much of a difference after only a few days but after about a week of use, I did start to notice the results. I honestly think these are the best whitening results I have ever gotten from any whitening toothpaste.

Clairol Nice N Easy Hair Color – You can get a box of this hair color for $6.92 up to $8.99. The last time I bought a box of this hair color it was around $8.00 at the store. The free product coupon that I received came with a Clairol elastic hair tie too which I thought was pretty cool. I have used this hair color before (the new and improved color) and I really like it. It does a great job at covering those pesky gray hair and I love the overall coverage of color that I get from it. This hair color smells pretty good too. It has a floral scent and I don’t choke on fumes when I use it. I think the color lasts pretty decently. I do wish it lasts a little longer than it does though. I love that my hair feels conditioned through every step too. I love the color. It think it’s vibrant and looks natural and it doesn’t look dull at all even when the color finally starts to fade (I get about 2 – 3 months before fading). Overall, I really like it.

A little more information if you are not a subscriber

I have been getting the Walmart Beauty Box for a long time now. It’s a subscription but it’s not every month. It’s only every three months or once per season. There’s a box filled with samples and sometime full size products that kind of go along with the season. It’s only $5 per box (that’s including shipping). You can choose Trendsetter, Classic or Natural (I believe, it’s been a while since I signed up) and you can also fill in your own beauty profile. From what I have seen, a lot of the samples and products are similar in all boxes but some boxes do include different products from others. You can read more about how it works HERE. You can also check out my previous posts about this box HERE as well. If you would like a direct link to sign up, sign up at Walmart Beauty Box by using that link.
