Go back to school with EarthKind Stay Away Pest Control. Think about your kids heading back to college. You and your kid might be thinking about supplies they need and books they need to buy. But there are other college dorm room necessities that they might need too. Think about pest control. EarthKind has some really great plant-based pest away products that would be perfect. Dorm rooms can become messy from studying, eating, and the clutter. It may not look messy but sometimes there can be unseen mess which brings about some unwanted critters in the room. EarthKind products are easy to use. And they work.
About EarthKind Stay Away Products
EarthKind Stay Away products include pest control products that keeps away moths, mice, ants, spiders, and beetles. Common everyday critters. What I love about them is that they are all plant-based and eco-conscious. They are non toxic and they are not traps or baits and there are no poisons or toxic chemicals. They are repellents that are made with botanical fibers and oils. Stay Away also helps prevent critters from coming in at all.
“EarthKind®’s manufacturing has a 2% carbon-footprint certified by USDA Bio-Preferred Program, and EarthKind® is the first plant-based pest brand to have its repellent products meet Federal EPA’s gold standard for effectiveness, with no known risks.”
How to use them
These are seriously easy to use. The product is inside these pouches. All you have to do is remove the pouches from their packaging after taking them out of the box. All you have to do is place the pouch where you have having issues. You don’t have to do anything else. There are so many nooks and crannies in a dorm room. Trash cans, mini fridges, closets, desk areas; you get the idea. I think these products are really great for small spaces. They area also great for the home too. I have been using them in my own home and love them. After using them I have decided I need to buy a few more so I can put them in other areas of my home.
Stay Away Moths
Stay Away Moths is made with oils of geranoil, geranium, and cedar.
These are perfect to put in closets or wardrobes. Living out in the country we have moths come into our house all the time. We have sliding door closets and so many times they are left open. But even when they are closed, moths can still find their way in because they are sliding doors. There’s always a gap somewhere. So to protect our clothes and coats, I have always used some sort of moth repellent. I can honestly say that after only using EarthKind Stay Away Moths for about a week, I noticed a big difference when comparing it to the other product I was using. It just works better.
Stay Away Ants
Stay Away Ants is made with oils of lemongrass, peppermint, and thyme.
I like to use this pouch near my cupboards where my trash can is. As much as I keep that area clean, there always seems to be crumbs or what-not there bringing ants near. Not all the time but sometimes. I thought it does an excellent job with repelling them and keeping them away. We had some ants the other day but after sitting it near there, I haven’t seen any.
Stay Away Mice
Stay Away Mice is made with cedarwood, rosemary, and spearmint oils.
We don’t get very many mice despite living out in the country in an old farmhouse. In fact, we have only had two mice in our house in the 9 years we have been living in it. The first one we ever had was probably five or six years ago and our indoor cat we had at that time got it for me. And yes, he literally got it for me. He sat there in front of it meowing until I came into the kitchen to see what he was up to. The other one we had was a couple years ago and our dog chased it out the front door somehow. So I can’t say honestly how well this one works but I think I can honestly trust it after seeing how well the other products work.
Stay Away Spiders
Stay Away Spiders is made with the oils of citronella, lemongrass, and rosemary.
I have an irrational fear of spiders. I keep this pouch close to my bed where I sleep. We end up seeing lots of spiders in our house. There’s no telling where they come from. They get in just about anywhere. So the best place for me to use one of these is near where I sleep. If I am laying in bed and I see a spider I am jumping out of the other side of the bed and I am not sleeping in my room. Like I said, irrational fear. I can honestly say, I haven’t seen any spiders close to my side of the bed! I need another one of these to keep inside the basement at the top of the steps. That’s where I keep my broom and mop. There’s usually a spider or two there.
EarthKind Stay Away Pouch Pod
The Stay Away Pouch Pod is an additional item from EarthKind that you can get to place your pest pouch inside. You do not need one of these for these products to work. I should get one though. It’s cute. And it also has a hook attached to it so if you want to hang it somewhere you can. It is also suppose to extend the life of the pest pouches by 3 times. Works for me!
My final thoughts…
I love these products. First of all, they are plant-based and natural. No harmful chemicals and non toxic. Easy to use and they work. I don’t find very many plant-based pest control products that actually work. The scent from all of them are pleasant to humans. I think they smell pretty good. The ones that have cedar or cedarwood oils in them smell really good. Obviously these scents and smells are not pleasant to the critters or creepy bugs you want to repel and keep away. As much as I like these products, I’ll have to buy some of the beetle ones before those ladybug looking beetles start entering my sons room when fall starts. They may look like ladybugs but they aren’t. And they bite. Overall I am pretty happy with these products!
