Walmart Beauty Box Review – Summer 2018 #WalmartBeautyBox

This is my Walmart Beauty Summer 2018 Box. Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t had my box opening/review posted yet. I received this box about 6 weeks ago and I am finally getting to it. It’s almost Fall, the new boxes will probably be shipping soon. This is the Trendsetter Box and I have tried all the products so now I can tell you all about them. One of the products I just used last night because I forgot all about it. If you want some more information about the Walmart Beauty Box, see the information at the bottom of this post. So now, lets get started!

What was in this box?

  • LalaFox Honey Nourishing Mask (full size)
  • Hallu Unicorn Bath Bomb (full size)
  • Pantene Foam Sheer Volume conditioner (deluxe/travel size)
  • Kleenex Wet Wipes Gentle Clean (single use sample
  • Garnier SkinActive Soothing 3-in-1 Moisurizing Day/Night Mask (single use sample)
  • Garnier Fructis Damage Repairing 1 Minute Hair Mask (single use sample)

Since this is a Walmart Beauty Box, prices that I may have included in this post are based off of Walmart prices.

So what did I think?

Pantene Sheer Volume Foam Conditioner

I thought this was really interesting. I have never heard of foam conditioner before so I was excited to try this out. Of course like any Pantene product, it does smell pretty great. In the shower I usually have to use a lot of conditioner. I have long hair and not only that, it’s very thick and very naturally curly. I wasn’t sure at first how much of this conditioner I would need to use because it’s a very different formula – it’s foam. It comes out much like shaving foam or styling mousse.

I found that I didn’t really need to use that much of it. I was pretty skeptical thinking there is no way this was going to work for my hair. But I was very surprised at how well it worked at getting the tangles out of my hair. It’s lighter than regular conditioner and it didn’t make my hair feel weighed down. Love the little extra volume I got from it too. My hair was easy to comb and style. You can get a full can (6 oz) for $5.97.

Garnier Fructis Damage Repairing Treat 1 Minute Hair Mask

I love this product. I have actually bought a jar/tub of this after I tried it. You can get it for $7.49. I really like it for my hair. You can use it three different ways. You can use it as a conditioner and rinse immediately. Or you can use it as a hair mask and leave it in your hair for a minute or two before rinsing. You can also use it as a leave in conditioner. I have used it all three way depending on my hair needs. It smells really great. Like most Garnier Fructis products, it smells kind of fruity. I feel like my hair gets a pretty deep conditioning after using this product.

Garnier SkinActive Soothing Moisturizing Day/Night Mask

This product is pretty great too. You can use it as a cleanser in the morning or a cleanser at night. You can also use it as a moisturizing mask. When I used my sample, I used it as a cleanser. It removed my makeup pretty well which I was happy about. One thing about facial cleansers is that they usually dry my skin out. Since this is a moisturizing cleanser/mask, I didn’t have that issue.

I was able to eliminate having to use a facial moisturizer after cleaning. Pretty cool! Yes, I did buy a full size product after using my sample. I have found that I really love this product. My skin feels so good when using it as a mask. Takes care of my dry skin issues I sometimes have. It works pretty great as a cleanser and I love how well it moisturizes. It does have a fresh, clean light scent of rose water too. There are two other ones available as well. Along with Soothing, you can also get Balancing and Hydrating. You can get the full size jar for $9.85. A bit pricey but worth it in my opinion.

Kleenex Wet Wipes Gentle Clean

These wipes are for hands and face and they are so nice to have. You can get a package of individually wrapped wipes (25 ct) for $2.76. I have three kids. Two of which are constantly needing to have their hands cleaned constantly depending on where we go. Cookouts at the park? Of course. I think they clean really well and remove dirt/mud and even sticky things. I bought some of these and carry a couple in my purse. You never know when they might come in handy!

Hallu Unicorn Bath Bomb

I love these bath bombs! Along with the Unicorn Beach (the one I received) you can also buy Sea Salt Citrus, Green Tea Wanderlust, and Island Hibiscus. These scents are part of the Hallu Enchanted Escape line. You can buy these bath bombs individually for $2.97. The Unicorn Beach has a very pleasant light scent to it with a mixture of mango, peach, jasmine, and vanilla. It starts with light pink, light blue and light purple colors but as it keeps fizzing, it turns red and then a dark blue eventually making bath water turn purple. The scent is really relaxing. My skin feels so soft and moisturized afterward too. These make for a relaxing bath and they are very affordable too! I will have a more in depth full review on this product soon.

LaLaFox Honey Nourishing Mask

I can’t find these masks on the Walmart website but I have seen them in the store. There is usually a display of all kinds of different masks. I saw four different LaLa Fox masks for $2.00 each. These masks are sheet masks and I don’t use sheet masks very often because I have a hard time applying them sometimes. This one however was pretty easy. When I opened the mask I could smell a very faint honey scent. It isn’t very strong.

The mask was saturated with the honey serum. It was a little sticky but not sticky in the way honey is. The mask did slide a bit here and there so I had to adjust every once in a while. Afterward my skin felt so soft and very hydrated. I will most likely use these masks again. I will have a full review of this mask on the blog soon.

A little more information if you are not a subscriber

I have been getting the Walmart Beauty Box for a long time now. It’s a subscription but it’s not every month. It’s only every three months or once per season. There’s a box filled with samples and sometime full size products that kind of go along with the season. It’s only $5 per box (that’s including shipping). You can choose Trendsetter, Classic or Natural (I believe, it’s been a while since I signed up) and you can also fill in your own beauty profile.

From what I have seen, a lot of the samples and products are similar in all boxes but some boxes do include different products from others. You can read more about how it works HERE. You can also check out my previous posts about this box HERE as well. If you would like a direct link to sign up, sign up at Walmart Beauty Box by using that link.
