My son has been reading Charlie Hernandez and the League of Shadows recently. It’s about a boy named Charlie who is swept into a world of mythology and Hispanic Folklore. There are mythical beings from the stories his Abuela has told him. There he must find and save his missing parents. My son says it reminds him of Rick Riordan’s many series with Percy Jackson and Greek and Roman Mythology. I have read all the Rick Riordan books myself – yes, even as an adult. So when he is finished, I’ll have to read this one too.
