Spring Walmart Beauty Box 2019 “Purely Pretty” Review

spring walmart beauty box 2019

This is my Spring Walmart Beauty Box for the 2019 Spring season. I received it less than 2 weeks ago. I never did my usual post for my previous box. My Winter box didn’t arrive until a couple weeks before my Spring box arrived. I have no idea why it was that extremely late. But since it was the Winter box, it felt kind of strange doing a post for it when Spring had already started. So if you are curious about my Winter box, I will leave some info about it at the bottom.

I will say I was really excited about this Spring box! If you are interested in the Walmart Beauty Box, information about it can be found at the bottom of this post. Below is everything I received in this box and because of one item, I was thrilled with it!

What was in this box?

  • SOO AE Purifying Black Charcoal Mask (single full size)
  • Palmer’s Coconut Oil Body Oil (sample)
  • Purely Inspired Collagen Peptides (single)
  • Botanic Bouquet Dry Shampoo Scent Stick (single use full size)
  • Hello Antiplaque + Whitening Toothpaste (travel size)
  • Salon Perfect Ready Set Go Brow Kit (full size product)
  • Walmart Beauty Bag**

**The beauty bag seems to be something new with the boxes. The first time I received one in my box was in my previous one. This one for Spring is really cute. It’s a canvas bag with bright pink zipper and tiny Walmart stars all over it.

Since this is a Walmart Beauty Boxes, any prices that are mentioned in this post are Walmart prices. If I find the prices on Walmart website, I will leave the price for the full size product with each of my short reviews. All these products are available at Walmart stores if you want to try any of them out.

What did I think?

SOO AE Purifying Black Charcoal Mask

You can get these masks for around $2.00 – $2.50 each. Our local Walmart has a display of them. I have tried quite a few of these SOO AE masks and love them. They are sheet masks and I don’t usually like them because they are a pain for me to apply. But these ones are actually pretty easy and I have gotten the hand of them. They do sometimes slide a little. I have used the Honey one before and had some slight issues in that area. I didn’t have much of a problem with this charcoal mask. Loved it. Made my skin feel really hydrated and smoothe. I will probably be writing up a more detailed review on this one because I also have a Unicorn Glow Hologram Mask to tell you about too!

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Body Oil

You can get the full size (5 oz) bottle for $5.18. I love Palmer’s products. The Coconut Body Oil is really great. I tried it after getting out of the shower and it really seemed to lock in the moisture. I sometimes have dry skin in the spring and summer. This oil helps. Since I really liked it (even though it was basically a one time use sample) I bought myself some. It’s very hydrating!

Botanic Bouquet Dry Shampoo Scent Stick

These you can buy in single use packs for $1.00. I am not really sure why it’s labeled dry shampoo because it’s not really dry shampoo. Maybe it was labeled that way because it’s not shampoo you lather in and rinse. The stick is a swab and it is soaked in a cleaning solution. It is meant to cleanse the scalp and roots that have gotten oily throughout the day. Therefore, I find these very useful in the summer. I love these. I like to use them in between washes. In addition to the in between washes, I sometimes use them mid-day. They help with cleaning oily roots and I also found that they are helpful to my sometimes dry scalp. Yes, I am very happy with these!

Purely Inspired Collagen Peptides

For a full size can/jar/tub of this product, the cost is about $16.00. That’s the price I saw for the Skin, Hair and Nail Support. I couldn’t find the Vitality Blend with Biotin on the website. I did try this stuff just for sake of mentioning the taste. Since I just had a one serving pouch, I can’t really say if this helped me in any way. It’s unflavored and there really isn’t a taste to it. I like that you can mix it in just about anything. That way you don’t have to worry about any kind of after taste. I really love that it has 18 grams of protein without any sugar or carbs. It also contains 18 amino acids, 20 grams collagen peptides and it’s easy to digest.

Hello Antiplaque + Whitening Fluoride Free Toothpaste

The full size version is $3.97 and it’s worth the price. I love Hello toothpaste. I use the charcoal toothpaste every once in a while. Hello toothpaste is a natural toothpaste – nothing artificial in it and none of those pesky chemicals. I am also really happy that this toothpaste is fluoride free. Usually you would think that toothpaste is supposed to have fluoride in it. I however, have issues with fluoride. First of all, it hurts my teeth. Second of all, I sometimes have a bad reaction to it. I have actually had fluoride poisoning before. If you ever experience it, it tastes like you have a mouthful of soap.

Any way, I love the peppermint flavor of this toothpaste. It does it’s job and gets my teeth clean and even though it’s a whitening formula, it’s gentle on my teeth. It’s not grainy and rinses really easily. I just feel like I have a really clean, fresh mouth afterward!

Salon Perfect Ready Set Go Brow Kit

Last but definitely not least, I got this really great brow kit from Salon Perfect. You can get the Ready Set Go Brow Kit for about $8.00. With the kit, you get a brow palette that includes 3 brow shades and a illuminating highlighter. In addition to the palette, you also get a dual ended brush, and a brow grooming pencil with sharpener. I love the brow shades. I have lighter colored brows but I have dark hair. So I like to make my brows a little darker. These shades and formula of the pressed powder make your brows look natural. I really love the grooming pencil because it makes it easy for me to shape my brows. I am planning on a more in depth review of this kit so keep an eye out for it!

A little more information if you are not a subscriber

I have been getting the Walmart Beauty Box for a long time now. It’s a subscription but it’s not every month. It’s only every three months or once per season. There’s a box filled with samples and sometime full size products that kind of go along with the season. It’s only $5 per box (that’s including shipping). You can choose Trendsetter, Classic or Natural (I believe, it’s been a while since I signed up) and you can also fill in your own beauty profile.

From what I have seen, a lot of the samples and products are similar in all boxes but some boxes do include different products from others. You can read more about how it works HERE. You can also check out my previous posts about this box HERE as well. If you would like a direct link to sign up, sign up at Walmart Beauty Box by using that link.
