Unicorn Glow Hologram Mask from SooAE New York Review

I recently tried a Unicorn Glow Hologram Mask from SooAE New York and I love it! I actually got one in one of my previous Walmart Beauty boxes. Since I really liked this mask, I bought a few more of them over the last few months. Our local Walmart actually has a display of them in addition to other kinds of facial masks in the beauty department. There are only a couple brands of sheets masks that I will use because a lot of the time I have some difficulty applying them. SooAE masks are pretty easy to apply.

Unicorn Glow Hologram Mask

When you open the pouch, you will see the sheet mask folded up inside. When I first saw mine I thought. “Wait a minute, isn’t this supposed to be a hologram mask?”. I was about to be disappointed because for about 20 minutes I wanted to look… well, I don’t know exactly. Anyway, I quickly realized that the mask is double sided. The side that is place over your skin is a charcoal side. The hologram side is what the outside of it looks like.

Removing and unfolding the mask

The mask is completely saturated in the serum that is inside the pouch. Both sides are. Unfolding it was pretty easy. I was afraid I was going to tear it but it’s stronger than it looks and feels. The serum has a very light pleasant scent to it. Which if course I appreciated since it was going to be on my face for about 20 minutes.

Charcoal & Serum

The charcoal side (the side that is supposed to be against your skin) helps to detox and purify skin. The plant extracts in the serum nourishes your skin. Before applying the mask, you can use the extra serum that remains in the pouch and apply it to your face. I didn’t do this since the mask was completely saturated to begin with.

Applying the mask

Applying the mask was pretty easy. I am not an expert with applying these sheet masks but the more I have used them, the easier it has become. Although if you have never used a sheet mask before, I don’t think you will really have any problems with this one. I just basically lined up the eye holes with my eyes and everything just fell into place on my face. Only had a couple minor adjustments to be made around my lips but that was it.

I didn’t have a problem with it sliding or anything. I did sit down and relax after applying it though. That way I wasn’t up moving around to give it a chance to slide. With the mask being as saturated as it was with the serum, it stuck to my face really well.

Finishing up

Don’t I look ridiculous?! Hey, I don’t care. My skin felt great even after just one mask. The directions say to leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. I left mine on for the whole 20. It didn’t make me feel uncomfortable or anything. After your time is up, you just simply remove the mask.

There’s no need to rinse your face either. My skin was still a little wet with the serum. All you have to do is pat it into your skin. It’s meant to be absorbed. If you like, you can even use any leftover serum to pat into your skin as well. Using my fingers, I was able to pat most of it in but I ended up using a towel to pat my face for any leftover serum on my skin.

I loved the feel of my skin afterward. It felt and looked really hydrated. My skin was also really soft and smooth. It didn’t leave my skin feeling sticky or anything like that either. And the best part? When I left my bathroom with the mask on, I looked kind of sparkly when I terrified my family.

Buy It: You can get these at Walmart for $2.00 – $2.50 each. You can buy them as singles. I am pretty sure you can buy them in packs too.

A little info if you are not a WBB subscriber

I have been getting the Walmart Beauty Box for a long time now. It’s a subscription but it’s not every month. It’s only every three months or once per season. There’s a box filled with samples and sometime full size products that kind of go along with the season. It’s only $5 per box (that’s including shipping). You can choose Trendsetter, Classic or Natural (I believe, it’s been a while since I signed up) and you can also fill in your own beauty profile.

From what I have seen, a lot of the samples and products are similar in all boxes but some boxes do include different products from others. You can read more about how it works HERE. You can also check out my previous posts about this box HERE as well. If you would like a direct link to sign up, sign up at Walmart Beauty Box by using that link.
